Great battery. 270cca charged. Able to start snowmobile
Able to start snowmobile after sitting for a week. I tested multiple batteries and chrome battery was 164cca when purchased and only charged to 210cca. This battery charged to 264cca and is able to start snowmobile in 20F after sitting for a week.

wear gloves when activating the battery with acid packs!!!
Battery came dry, had to pop in 2 units of acid to activate it. Then had to charge it for several hours. Looked to be very well-built. The terminals had nuts and bolt included. Sadly it will not fit BMW i3 as the termial post adeptors won't line up with the hole on the + terminal. I'd totally get this for my motorcycle or scooter but sadly I had to return the battery.

Doesn’t last
Purchased in February and dead by April. Smart charger won’t even recognize the battery. Tried all the tricks to get it to charge but it is done.

Works, but terminal screw size is smaller than previous batteries, causing frustration
The only thing holding it back from 5 stars is the terminal screws it comes with, and the terminal design itself. Unlike the Yuasa battery I was replacing, these screws were a smaller diameter, with a smaller diameter head (8mm instead of 10). My Triumph's wiring seems to expect 10mm, so I had to add a washer to the terminal screw. No big deal, except by the time I added in the ring terminals of my battery tender pigtail & the ring terminals for the bike's wiring harness, the screws were too short to reach the square nuts, unless I used a flat blade screwdriver to lift the nuts up towards the screw hole in the terminals. Which is doable, but a pain in the rear. Also, unlike the Yuasa batteries I'd purchased in the past, the terminal design didn't capture and hold the square nuts. So it's hard to get them lined up correctly, and also keep them from falling out the side of the terminal when the bike's on the side stand. Ultimately, I got it all wired up and it works fine. It was just more work than it should have been.

Reasonable value from Interstate.
One of the good ones (so far) - the pre-filled batteries all seem to die after a year. Yousa is always better but this one is 40% less. Follow the instructions - let sit after fill, then charge at 1.5A - it took 2 hrs to hit 14.9V. Notes: the terminal insert space is small and provided screws are short, hand to put a spacer under the nut so that I could get the screw started from above, lead terminals were a bit corroded, needed to sand off for good connection (be careful with lead).

Poor instructions, steel screws will rust
I just received the battery so I can only speak to the quality of the instructions and supplied hardware. I bought this for a SeaDoo PWC so marine use, and I believe its intended for marine use. The battery is shipped "dry" with the acid packaged separately so considering the instructions are designed for the average consumer to handle sulfuric acid safely they are, at best confusing and contradictory, and at worst dangerous. If anyone from Interstate is reading this and cares, here are the most glaring issues with the instructions: 1) They are generic and written for both sealed and vented batteries and the instructions state "if you are not sure which you have call us" is a non starter. You should have provided instructions that are written for THIS battery. All throughout the instructions its has this "if you have this battery do this and if you have that battery do that". And even with all of that they are _still_ not correct for THIS battery. 2) Section 1a states "there are six fill caps or one foil strip". Wrong. The battery has BOTH a strip of caps AND a foil strip. Your picture shows BOTH. 3) 2b states "A separate container of sulfuric acid electrolyte will be included with the battery. DO NOT cut off or puncture the sealed end of the containers cap or remove the foil seal." There are numerous errors in this statement. 1 - The battery came with two (2) containers of sulfuric acid. 2 - the two containers of sulfuric acid have a one piece row of 6 plastic caps which clearly state on them "DO NOT OPEN". No where in the instructions does it state that for the coming steps you must ignore the "DO NOT OPEN" and in fact DO OPEN the containers of sulfuric acid by removing the row of 6 caps. And it should also say "Save these caps for later as they are needed to seal the battery fill holes". 4) Step 2C says "place the electrolyte container ...". No where does it say "You may have two containers in which case repeat this step twice and drain the FULL contents of BOTH containers into the battery". This is dangerous as its possible that only some of the second container is needed. How would you know? I guessed and luckily guessed right that the complete contents of both containers was the correct amount. When handling sulfuric acid the manufacturer should not make you guess at their intentions. 5) Step 3 states "After the battery has stood for one hour _replace_ the cap(s)/sealing plug(s)." To "replace" them means they would have had to have first been removed. They were not. They _could_ have been if you had not earlier guessed right. What WAS removed was a foil strip. The "cap(s)/sealing plug(s)" is a beauty. They are saying your battery may have one cap or multiple caps or one plug or multiple plugs. There are 4 possible battery variants implied in this nonsense statement and guess what, they STILL did not capture what THIS battery actually has. Here is what this step SHOULD say: "The two sulfuric acid containers each came with the sealing cap strip needed for this step which we earlier had you set aside and save for this step. Only one sealing cap strip is required so choose one and use that to permanently seal the 6 fill holes by firmly pressing into place." 6) This battery is intended for salt water marine use and comes with ordinary steel screws and nuts. They should be made of stainless steel. 10 cents more. Worse yet the nuts are a specially shaped square nut so even if you do the right thing and replace them with stainless steel hardware you can't get this nut anywhere but from a specialty supplier. All in all Interstate deserves a F- for this debacle.

This size seems to be used in older bikes and snow mobiles and not carried by many brand names. But I have a current CAN-AM Spyder for which it fits the bill. After charging the battery, tested at 460CCA, better than 330 spec. Time will tell if it works as long a Yuasa.
