Make sure you know how to crimp. If you do it right you will get professional results. Just don't stick the pen deep inside ,stick the half which contain the copper part of wire (not the plastic jacket) and you will always get a perfect fit

If you have never used this type of crimper before, I STRONGLY recommend that you watch one of the Youtube videos teaching how to use it properly, and how to prepare the wire.The ratcheting action works very well, allowing you to hold the metal tip in the jaws while you are fiddling with the wire. The jaws have three slots marked 0.25, 0.5, and 1 mm^2. For the supplied wire and crimping tips, I crimp with the middle slot (0.5), and then crimp again with the smallest slot (0.25).The box contains a whole lot of goodies, such as male and female connectors, as well as the housings. Additionally, straight and angled headers and 1.5 m of 10-wire cable are included. The cable seems to be 20 or 22 AWG.Overall, I cannot fault this kit in any way, this is a great value to get you started with Dupont connectors.

Quality seems decent enough. the few times ive used this, its worked well. Cant say it will last a lifetime of heavy use, but for the price, Im not complaining

This set includes a very nice selection of Dupont Pin connects in a kit box along with the crimp tool itself. There are no instructions, but the use of this crimper should be familiar to anyone who has made custom connectors before. It is quite straight forward for me, but I am not sure a novice would understand how to properly use these items?The crimper feels robust and once I got used to it I was able to use it effectively just one-handed. The tool has positive feel with a nice, even action.I made good use of this set as I was in the middle of a custom arcade machine build and I needed to make up my own custom connectors as the single board computer pcb I was using had GPIO style pins and I needed to rig up custom wiring harnesses for the runs to the arcade joysticks and buttons, power switch, speaker audio and backlit led marquee. This crimper along with the excellent selections of pin connectors included was all I needed. The tool made excellent quality crimps which was essential for my application. I even appreciated the inclusion of the wire ribbon cable as I ran a little short on wire to finish the ground lines to my arcade buttons and the included wire filled that task perfectly.On the whole, I am quite happy with this set. The crimping tool is robust worked well. The kit box with pin connectors and wiring was a great add on. I have seen similar kit boxes with a similar connector assortment selling for over $20 alone, so to see it included with a good quality crimp tool for $39 total is very good value for money in my opinion. While I would not call this set "perfect", this is definitely a solid 4 out of 5 for me and I can recommend this set.

Great little kit, crimpers feel somewhat cheap but perfect for a home set.

I've been just hand soldering Dupont and JST connectors for years. It's annoying, but I can do it easy enough at this point. I finally decided to break down and get a crimper because I need to make a lot of wiring harnesses. Not sure why I took years to get one. What a time saver. This unit makes solid and strong crimps, and comes with a nice selection of connectors to use.Having not used a Dupont crimper before, I could have used some directions. I did figure it out, but the first 3 or 4 were really hard to do. Watch a Youtube video if you haven't used one before.Will crimp JST connectors, though it isn't designed for it. You need to be careful doing JST connectors, as they don't fit the jaws quite right.Handy tool, and worth having in the tool box.
