The media could not be loaded. I used this silicone ring first time this past summer for homemade macaroni and cheese. The dish cooked perfectly, but had an unpleasant plastic taste to it. The silicone ring imparts an unusual flavor to the food (I’ve experienced this with the muffin ring as well, but will review that separately). Afterwards, I hand-washed and dried it before putting back in storage, and a couple months later I pulled it out of the storage bag and it had a white coating all over. Not powdery, because it doesn’t flake off, but I can scratch it with my fingernail. And it still has a strong artificial smell to it. Needless to say, I won’t be using this silicone ring anymore and will, instead, try the disposable foil rings and simply grease them.
