Great value wee FX unit for beginners or established players, road worthy
Excellent value for money wee pedal this, so glad I got it. After trying out quite a few this one proved the bees knees, I was able to produce a great Shadows sound with it which I play a lot of and it had all good usable fx and very good quality ones too, I was particularly impressed with the acoustic guitars. I love the fact you can tweek them with the software too, much easier than trying to do with the pedal. The tuner could have been improved a bit, but it's not as stable as I wanted it to be. However, at this price, you can't complain, and the quality is also good. Highly recommended for both beginners and established players. You wont be disappointed, oh and not too heavy either. The build is also great too, normally plastic but not this baby its metal.

Great value little pedal
Probably the best money I've spent on myself in a long time! I got one of these after being inspired to pick up my guitar again after over 10 years - I enjoyed playing but was never particularly good. This has just transformed the range of sounds I can get out of the equipment I have at home, and I enjoy practicing much much more as a result. Maybe the modulation could be a bit better, but generally the pedal has a wide range of FX which sound pretty good. The build it seems solid enough and it makes me sound way better than I am when I'm practicing - for the money I'm absolutely delighted.

Good Guitar Processor / Multi effects Unit
If you've used similar units such as Nux MG300, you'll be familiar with what to expect, I won't go into major detail, plenty of recent good reviews online, but I know some are wondering how it compares to the Valeton GP100, especially as there are many similarities, the drum section screen for example is an identical image. Most of the features, if not all are identical too. So is it the same unit in a different chassis? Simple answer, no. Does it sound better than the GP100? Yes. For example the JCM800 is much fuller in body than the GP100, the latter's has more mids and treble, not quite on the nose or as valve like. Don't get me wrong, the GP100 is a great unit, but the Sonicake is about 10% to 20% better in tone. The PC editor is very similar, it feels like the same app, just laid out different. I actually prefer the GP100's PC interface where it favours graphical knobs over sliders on the Sonicake. The units display works pretty much the same, but maybe not as rich a layout. The overall design of the unit for me isn't as pleasant as the GP100, especially when it also comes in purple! But hey, it's just a box ;) But I'd rather have better tone over looks any day. The Sonicake is a great unit and easy to use, worth the money if you're looking for something different to a NUX MG300 for example, plus this is cheaper and has metal construction.

Really badly configured presets.
QME-50 SONICAKE Matribox Guitar Pedal Guitar Bass Amp Modeling IR Cabinets Simulation Multi-Effects: For the £88 I paid for this pedal, it's fairly good value, but there are many issues. There's a plethora of amp sims included, but most of them are terrible, many having no volume and or lacking treble, no matter how you tweak them. It's very difficult to taylor the sound you want AND at a suiable level for recording, because one module can overload the next module in the chain, causing loud clipping noises if you aren't extremely careful, which is time consuming and difficult. More often than not, I can't get a decent signal level out of the unit; more often than not; it's too quiet - especially with many of the amp sims. Another annoyance is that you can't change the order of the patches eaily, like you can with Zoom software, which lets you reorder patches by dragging. The lettering under the knobs and switches is microscopic, so extremely hard to read. The stock patches are mostly badly configured, and vary in volume massively. Another problem is that the software constatle keeps losing connection with the device. The pedal feels sturdy, even though the casing is plastic. The tuner is reasonably functional, though not the best. I like the dual 1/4" outputs.

A brilliant budget multi-effects pedal.
I bought this as a birthday present for a friend (a multi-effects newbie) and he is delighted with it. I already have an excellent Valeton GP100 (a very close relative from the same company) which I love. Although packaged slightly differently, this is effectively a GP100 with a few tweaks. The most noticeable tweak is the very welcome upgrade to a USB C connector. The effects, tuner, looper and drum machine all seemed very similar to the GP100 (but I didn't have a lot of time for an in-depth compare). I did think that some of the factory pre-sets sounded a bit better, but I guess most people will customise their own sounds. I doubt there is a better value small multi-effects box on the market.

I love Amp modeling. I've not used my real Amp in over a year now. Ever since I discovered how cool Amp modeling is, I haven't gone back. My main pedal is a Pod Go. I love the Pod Go. I've bought a few other cheap pedals. One is just for Acoustic guitar and the other is a really small portable Amp modeler. I guess they're all portable. This one is pretty small but it's packed with cool sounds. With my Pod Go I erased all the factory presets and replaced them with patches that I purchased online. I obviously made up some of my own patches too but it's cool to just buy some and load them up. This pedal has some cool factory presets. I mainly bought it so when I'm jamming with my friends I have another pedal ready to go. I'm definitely going to use this next time and let my buddy use the Pod Go. I just got it today and planned on spending a few minutes learning the functions. I ended up learning a little but basically just jamming on the presets for a few hours. It definitely has some control options. I like that it has a built-in foot switch for volume or Wah. I'm really impressed with this little pedal. It's definitely worth what they're asking. I got mine on sale. I need to look into it more but I can tell it's a great pedal for my needs. I would absolutely use this in a live setting. I love that you can plug headphones into Amp modelers and have a really good guitar sound. I know tjere always going to be people that want to use amps but Amp modeling is just going to keep getting more popular IMO. So if you're new to it, definitely try this pedal. I don't think you will be disappointed. If you're unsure, watch YouTube videos. Thats what I did for my first pedal. It was the Pod Go. I wanted something affordable but professional. I think this pedal is definitely good for a live band setting also though.

So this is an interesting product as it's allowed me to explore the hype about amp and cab sims. I am primarily a pedal and tube amp kinda guy as I prefer having access to the sounds I want as soon as I want them. But I have been quite curious about amp and cab sims for a while and my only options were to spend $1000+ for a guitar multi effects processor or buy individual pedals. This product was conveniently on sale and I thought I'd give it a go, especially cause it's super cheap. Aside the amazing presets it comes with, the built in effetcs are fully customisable to your liking, it's got a 90 second looper which is plenty enough (it's also got a very intuitive display that shows you your loop progression), it's got a "funny" drum machine (it's no way close to Neil Peart but it's good enough to keep you in time).. and the most important thing for me is, It works like an audio interface. I can directly record to my DAW from the device. A quick note about audio interfaces, in most cases when you plug your guitar to an audio interface, you need to use headphones to listen to your playing. Which makes sense if you are actually recording.. but sometimes you want to play by feel AND record your music session. This little device does just that.. I do not need head phones. I can plug this device to my computer and record whilst still being able to hear my playing through my amp. Build quality - its quite a lot of plastic.. I would not recommend putting your weight on it.... but I think you can look past all of that when you plug it in and try out a few presets.. Overall.. it sounds amazing, it's multi functional (guitar effects, amp+cab sim, looper, drum machine and audio interface), it's great to record with (plug and play concept) and is believe it works with any DAW. I think it's a great product in comparison to the products from bigger brands as it does the same thing for a fraction of the cost.

Wonderful pedal. Lots of different sounds to choose from and I like how easy it is to mod each sound and select and mod the amps. I did not find the instructions not to well written, mainly how to run the pedal in stereo with two amps. As well this may be one of the last products I buy from Amazon as I am disappointed that they are pushing everyone into their prime membership. Customers who have spent thousands of dollars over the years should be given consideration. I never really cared about the one day shipping and didn't mind having to wait a little longer.
