Why is it called Römertopf?

In 1966 / 1967, a lot of thought was given to the new brand name, and various variants were discussed. The name Römertopf was chosen because of the Romans' great love of food. Italy stands for the most wonderful food and healthy dishes.

What material is a Römertopf made of?

All products of the Römertopf brand are made of one of the highest quality clays available in the world: Westerwald natural clay. This material, which is many millions of years old, is pure nature, mined in the Westerwald close to the manufactory.

What do I use a Römertopf Chiko for?

With this ingenious roasting pan, chicken, but also ducks and other poultry, will be cooked to perfection from now on. The shape already reveals that the birds are placed on the middle section and can therefore be cooked evenly and crispy all around.

What is special about the Chiko?

The oven stays clean as the fat from the poultry runs directly into the tray. The poultry can also be carved directly on the Chiko. When it comes to chicken & co., it couldn't be simpler, tastier or crispier.
