Lotion for Face and Body, Relief for Irritated and Itchy Skin with Psoriasis (8 Ounce)

I ordered this after searching for a non oily moisturizer for my face and reading other reviews. I am 36 and have just started to think I need a product for aging; yet, I still struggle with breakouts. I have only used this for 2 days so I cant speak to whether it will actually help with the breakouts but I can say this feels great going on...not greasy at all and absorbs right in with no residue, just super soft skin. I do feel that my skin immediately looks and feels younger. I am excited because I struggled to find an everyday product for this that doesn't cost way too much for the size of the bottle. This was a large bottle that goes well with my minimalist lifestyle because it is great for face, body, and hands. I am sure I will be purchasing this again!

I have struggled with eczema all my life, and while Skin MD is no cure, after a month or so of using this, I can confidently say it really does the trick in terms of helping to keep it under control. While the lotion is extremely light, it is extremely soothing and does seem to help restore the natural skin barrier relatively quickly. My skin feels more resilient already - the same amount of scratching does not result in deep cuts but only surface scrapes. Although the website claims it's all you need, and to just repeatedly apply it until your natural skin barrier is restored, that is only true when the natural humidity is over 40% or so. On a trip to the East Coast at the end of February, with heating going full blast everywhere, I found that mid-flare, when I had already scratched my skin all raw, I had to apply Skin MD to soothe and hydrate my skin, and then apply a layer of Cerave or Restoraderm (or even better still, Atopiclair or Avene XD) on top to lock it in. The combination worked, not Skin MD OR Cerave/Restoraderm alone, to heal my skin really quickly. (How bad was bad? I was waking up every 2 hours to remoisturize the first couple of nights of my trip.) Now that I'm back in a humid environment, one or two applications a day is sufficient. It works out to a similar price per use as Restoraderm or Cerave - a little goes a long way BUT not quite as far as the makers would suggest. (The 4oz bottle was marketed as "enough for 3 months" but obviously it will depend on how much of your body is affected by eczema.) As another reviewer pointed out, it feels like a makeup primer, no doubt because of the use of silicones. The plus is that it is easy to reapply mid-day without getting your clothing all greasy, as it somehow both spreads easily and sinks in quickly.

I have dry skin, but I absolutely hate the feel of lotion on my body or hands. I live in the South, where heat and humidity turns body lotion into a slippery mess the moment you start to sweat. I have never liked the feeling of lotion on my hands, either. SkinMD is different from any lotion that I have ever used. Within a minute of applying it, I can't even tell that I put lotion on, but my skin feels soft and healthy. Yesterday I applied the SkinMD lotion in the morning and went to the pool with my kids in the afternoon. I had washed my hands several times throughout the day, yet my hands were the only ones that didn't get wrinkled from the pool water. I took this to mean that the SkinMD lotion formed a protective barrier on my skin. It also helps with the dry skin on my legs and arms. I have even used it on my face, and it did not cause any problems with my extra sensitive skin, even when used over acne medication. I haven't really noticed any scent at all. This is an amazing product, and I will definitely be buying more before I run out.

I've pretty much always had "problem skin," and have come to be pretty conservative, simply because aggressive products always come with side effects. I tried this lotion on a whim after a pharmacist saw me looking at it and recommended it. Based upon the reviews I sort of secretly hoped it might perform miracles, replacing certain facial lines with dewy "healed" skin. I've been using this product for a little less than a week and haven't seen that yet. I also noticed a taut feeling to my face that I didn't expect. This might correspond with the dryness that a few reviewers reported, but I haven't minded it so far since I would actually like my skin to be more taut. The one truly exciting surprise I have seen (so far) is a reduction of my facial puffiness. I was not looking for this, and it had never occurred to me before that the tired, puffy look I've sported since hitting my 40s might be exacerbated by my skin care products. I don't know if this benefit will last, but trying Skin MD has led me to suspect that I had developed a skin sensitivity to something in my good ol' O of O daily lotion for combination skin. So, while my skin has not yet gone back in time, and no one has yet mistaken me for my younger sister, I do personally feel that my face--especially my eye area--looks and feels less puffy. Last thought: I have not yet tried the Skin MD with sunscreen, just because it is not broad spectrum.

Let me say this! This is my GO TO skin product for everything. I use it on my body and MY FACE! Let me repeat . . . ON MY FACE. It has all of the quality and texture of a HIGH END serum but NONE of the endocrine disruptors or animal by-products of cosmetic industry serums, creams or whatever . . . . This is the best product on the market I have ever used. I threw everything else out! Now, be aware that nothing . . . absolutely nothing will stop your face from aging. You will get old and neither vanity, the surgeon's knife, nor skin peels will prevent that. But, if you choose those routes, you can scar, or micro-scar your face daily with whatever product or procedure you choose. I work with the public and I can tell you the end results I see everyday produce only distortions of the face, not beauty. That said, all of my moisturizing expectations are met and exceeded with this product. It feels like silk on your skin without grease. By the way, it is my third purchase of this same product. I have never bought another skin care product three consecutive times. Love it!
