This lock is horrible and highly unreliable!!!!
The lock is not user-friendly at all and is highly defective. This is second Ellipse lock I purchase from Amazon and has malfunctioned within a short period of time. It has problems with holding a charge and it is highly unreliable. There have been many situations where I could not unlock my bicycle because the lock was not responding.The capacitative touchpad is highly temperamental and is not turning on in many occasions or it turns on partially.Also, the Bluetooth connection to my phone is not working very often. I never had this problem with other Bluetooth accessories and my iPhone.I bought this lock because I find it a great idea, but at the moment it is just an idea and it is highly unreliable or user-friendly. I can only blame the manufacturer, or it is the actual seller here in Amazon selling faulty ones.The solar charge panel does not work and maybe they did not think through of how it works. It is highly expensive as a product to have so many issues.I would advice not to buy it. I had to Return already 2 of them. I will not be buying this again!!I am gonna be doing research for suppliers of smart locks that actually work!!!!

It's the first of a new idea
Mine works really well.. it's been through the wars on a bike packing journey across France but held up well. It's not perfect, the range could be better but I do love not having to have a key! Always connects yo my phone and the touchpad never fails
