the company listed this rod as a heavy rod, just because its a 15-40# rod doest make it a HEAVY ROD, in my option its a med heavy rod, at best? i bought this rod back about 1 yr ago fished very little for carp, and the action and the rod material is ALL WRONG? first off a 15-40 rod is med /heavy not heavy?, then the construction carbon composite( is a combination of S GLASS, AND E GLASS MATERIAL) which is light weight thinner rods, like the phenix rod company or even the united composite rod makers , very sensitive to feel and the bite from the fish, very rigid and resist breaking the rod. for throwing jigs , as heavy as 60 grams. ? i would better to 30-40 grams instead, the company rated the rod as heavy , HEAVY IS 20-40 PLUS? 15-40 is not heavy! the cust. service in the past was pretty bad to say the less but over time there getting better! TO NOTE, if you cant get help from the c/s about a problem on the rod damage, or shipping, or even the cost for the repairs, or exchange that would send a company packing and out of buisness,? Abu Garcia has been in around for a long time , if they continue to treat the people thru c/s help, and dont help they wont be here very long? I GAVE THE RATING A 4 REASON, rod strength, wrong, misinformated , words on the rod, and in my option lying to the people who are interested in purchasing the rod to buy?
