Aquarium Internal Filter, 170GPH Silent Power Filter for 15-30 Gallon Corner Installation, Triple Filtration with Adjustable Flow and Spray Bar

I put this Hygger filter in a 5-gallon nano tank and wow. I had algae and cloudy water, and within two days the tank was beautifully clear again. I can literally see the back wall of the tank now. The flow is gentle enough for a small tank but still very effective. It doesn’t stress the fish and there’s no strong current, just clean, clear water. It’s also quiet, easy to set up, and fits perfectly in a nano tank. This filter actually does what it’s supposed to do instead of just taking up space. If you’re dealing with algae or cloudy water in a small tank, this one works fast. I’d absolutely buy it again.

I wanted a filter for my tank that could be put in and removed with a low clearance (we have a shelf almost directly above the tank with an attached light on the bottom of the shelf). This filter did the job. With hangover the side filters, I couldn't get them out to clean easily (it's a 20 gallon tank). This stays to the back corner, out of the way and the noise level is fine - all dependant on your water level as far as the splashing sound. Motor sound we not bad at all. The suction power is definitely not lacking. Many times I had to use a knife just to pry the edge of a suction off the glass wall to get it off. Better to have better suction than not! This was so easy to clean and kept the water clean. I loved the adjustable water flower at the top and the ability to have more bubbles/air go in, or less. The 'rain arm' feature was nice as well. I would definitely recommend this filter for all it brings and all the boxes it checks off. It was a good value (it's still running well over a year later) and is functioning how one would hope and expect!

I've had this since July 2023 (13 months) and it just started to die out on me. However not in terms of strength but the suction cups started to deteriorate and subsequently it's started to flop into the water (currently have it masking tape'd up until I can get a new one. For the price, it's lasted me a long time so I'm going to buy a new one. Nice thing about this is the suction cups slide easily into place, unlike other filters where you have to very carefully piece them into place. The flow rate is nice and adjustable and works well for my ~20gallon turtle tank. It's kind of noisy but I've been desensitized to it at this point and it does the job. There's many different little compartments so it's a little of a pain in the butt to clean but again it does the job so I don't mind.

I use this filter in both 6 gal and a 3 gal aquariums. They are powerful and quiet. The best filters I've had. I like that it has the option for 3-tiered filtration but it works so well that I may forgo carbon altogether to reduce using pre-filled cartridges. I use Seachem products and my water is pristine and healthy. As you can see in the video, I use the waterfall feature. I put in the lowest flow setting. The current doesn't sink food or disturb the fish. I have a Betta and 3 Tetras in my second aquarium and the current doesn't bother the Betta either. I tested three filters before deciding on the Hygger filters. The other two were ZooMed Betta Clean and Penn-Plax Cascade 300. I wanted internal filters. Unfortunately , the noise and water flow of these two models weren't to my liking. I was concerned that the Hygger filter is listed as a frequently returned item but I'm glad I decided to try it out. It's definitely an option worth exploring.

The filter was working great for about 2 months or so. I disconnected the filter and put it away wrapped in its original packing until I got another aquarium which was about month out two later. To my surprise the filter is no longer working. I love hygger products, but this was disappointing.

Updated.....seller did reach out to me about not being satisfied with the product. They offered me a replacement for the size step above. Product received in timely manner. Uses the product for a week or so. Unfortunately, the same issue arrived even with the bigger filter. Works great for a few days, then loses its power and efficiency. I tried giving this product a second chance. It's just not worth it, and I suggest spending a little extra on another type. Purchased this for a 8 gal nano tank. Other reviews stated that it was too much circulation in the tank so to go smaller. This filter pumped well for the first two days. Now barely pushing any waves. Had to add my side filter back on too keep the tank clean. Also ordered the filters separately for this filter. After waiting for a month, I finally canceled those.

Excellent. I have a small aquarium less than 5 gallons and this works perfect. Love how you can have spray. Would purchase again. Also quiet.

I quite like this filter for my 10 gallon tank. It's easy to maintenance, works well and isn't that loud. Definitely keep smy water clean but I do have to clean the filter media out each week to ensure goo flow.
