Tested and it works
Got this Geiger counter recently as was curious if it would work. It arrived well-packaged and included a user manual, charging cable and a string that you can attach to the counter for easier holding. The counter shows the current date and time, real-time dose rate of radiation, average dose and total daily dose. This device has multiple different settings including sound, alarm, units, language and many more. The battery life is quite good too, had it on for 3 days and there's still more than half the battery left. When it comes to the readings themselves I have been positively surprised. Have been wearing it with me and the total dose was equivalent to the background radiation I would expect, however the real test was when this meter was used close to an x-ray machine when taking the x-ray itself. During the x-ray the dosemeter went quickly up, alarming me about the sudden change in real time radiation with a flashing red number. The test was ran again minutes later where lead lined protection was used and the dosemeter showed a back-to-normal dose.Overall, this dosemeter definitely works and given the price I would definitely recommend it.If you're working in an area where you may be exposed to radiation it's good to have as a guide, though I would get something a bit more professional if you have constant exposure.

Interesting, useful, accurate.
The media could not be loaded. This Geiger counter is actually very good. It’s difficult to get any noteworthy readings however a family member is going for a nuclear scan soon and so she will use this so she can determine when she is safe to mix with us again. As a definite amateur I found this meter to be easy to use, very interesting, and practical if you live in a problem area or an area that has a high occurrence of radon gas.I had some surprising readings from objects around the house that measured higher but not dangerously so, like cigarettes and of all things cat litter. In my opinion this meter is well made and accurate. It’s good value for money and useful.I hope you find my review helpful.

Limited use but interesting
☑️ As described and as advertised.☑️ Well packaged and well presented.☑️ small and highly portable but is missing a storage pouch for safe keeping.☑️ Integrated rechargeable battery. We much prefer this over standard replaceable batteries. Charging cable provided.☑️ simple to use but instructions could be better.☑️ We like the battery charge indicator.☑️ Intuitive led displayWe have limited use but we were interested in testing compost we use for growing fruit and veg so an ideal opportunity to test.

Excellent product
If you have to use this product then it is possible that you have a few other problems. Let us hit the nail on the head, this device is for measuring radio activity. That is not a substance that you play around with.Might I suggest that a very careful read of the instructions should be undertaken before you do anything else. Followed by a second and even a third.I did this and I was able to understand most of what was going on. I was also able to recall some of the training I received when I was in the RAF many years ago. Information is in the information manual but the printing is so tiny reading is very difficult so I would have a magnifying glass to hand. So hear we are looking at an item I would rather not be reviewing, because it is really for people more into this branch of physics.

Handy compact size, and easy to use
Handy compact sensor with plenty of features.LCD display is very clear and easy to navigate.Rechargeable too, so need to keep replacing batteries all the time.As others have said, a small carrying pouch would be nice for this, but not a deal breaker, as there are plenty around to fit something this size.Been testing this out around the home over the past few days, and its surprising some of the things that give off a reading to some degree.Would recommend

Emergency usage
This is a portable geiger counter radiation detector for beta and gamma x-rays. It has a display screen and support for audible and visual alarms.Things I liked:- rechargable built-in battery- records old data- nice 2" TFT screenOverall, like any insurance policy, you'd wish you had one until it's too late. Great to leave on a garden shed with a power bank (to recharge battery). Nice portable size, too.

Great item
Nice and simple to use with a brightly lit easy to read lcd screen. Small and portable would be good to take with you if your entering building sites or unfamiliar areas. Currently priced at £65.99 which I feel is very good value for money. Small safety device to alert you to radiation levels. Rechargeable which is super handy.
