My faviourite coffee maker!
Had one for 18 years, got knocked off a shelf about 16 years ago, and was slightly damaged but it kept going. It has been taken on holiday numerous times, particularly when heading off camping. We refurbished it a couple of times. When one of the lugs on the portafilter sheered off from use I decided it was time to buy a whole new replacement; I could have just bought a new portafilter but after 18 years it seemed reasonable to retire the poor old thing (will keep it for parts)! The only advice I would give is to keep it clean and possibly dismantle periodically especially if in a hard water area as deposits can build up that will prevent you from doing a refurb easily, a few years down the line. The new upgraded version has all the solidity of the old and I think actually produces even better coffee.

I'm in love
I love my ROK so much.It took me 2-3 times trial and error to make a drinkable coffee but my husband managed for first try :)Now it works fine every time for both of us, great coffee, relaxing routine in the morning (especially together with grinding the coffee with a manual grinder). And the machine is a beautiful piece of art with solid quality.

I cannot get a crema no matter what I try.I get a crema with the same beans and a pump expresso maker but this will not. However it is very convenient but I am sorry I bought it.

Unhappy with the purchase.Presso Gusto doesn't accept returns so be awareContacted rok directly and they don't accept it either. Both unwilling to help. Say away from that product and the sellers with questionable customer service.

Really pleased with this
Really pleased with this, it fits perfectly into off grid life aboard a boat.It is solid, well made and nice to look at.The coffee is strong, easy to make, and with practice and fresh roast coffee will create a very satisfactory crema.

Very nice & silent coffee maker
Very original and nice piece of kitchen equipment, I really enjoy it. Coffee is good but obviously not that good as from any reasonable espresso maker (probably lower air pressure). It is not that handy as it might look and those "wings" need some room around when preparing a cup of coffee but the main benefit for me is that it is silent - I always wake up first so can make a coffee without waking up my family. As said, you can make good & quick coffee with this tool but if you are one of those proper coffee experts, you might be a bit dissapointed. For espresso coffee dependent people (like I am) - good for travel/ camping/ cottage trips too - you need only warm water.

Doesn’t match the description.
Have received the espresso maker, but the additional parts were missing: ‘comes in a stylish metal reusable storage tin and as an introductory offer, also includes a new and improved milk frother’. Disappointing since it was supposed to be a gift.

Great gadget for brewing espresso at home
Great gadget for brewing espresso at home. Don't waste a fortune trying to recreate coffee shop espresso at home (you simply can't) and instead get this for under a hundred quid and buy a decent grinder.
