This is a decent alternative to a traditional key ring. It is more significant than your usual key ring and has the oh-so-simple and easy-to-use method of managing your keys.The mechanism is far more simplistic than you might think; though it hasn't come undone by accident, it does not give me as much confidence as a standard key ring.Overall, why get this? The only reason I can see is you want something a little different from the usual, and options like key sleeves/cases don't work because you have a mortice-style key or something similar that doesn't fit. It is ever so slightly easier to open than a traditional key ring, but I suspect it might end up less secure if used a lot.
