Powerful Bass and Great Build Quality – Perfect Match for My Klipsch RP-8000F II Towers!
I recently purchased the Klipsch RP-1000 SW subwoofer to complement my Klipsch RP-8000F II tower speakers for my home theater system and music setup. I couldn't be happier with how well they work together.Sound Performance: The crossover between the RP-1000 SW and the RP-8000F II speakers is perfectly balanced, delivering a dynamic and immersive experience. The bass response is impressive, adding the low-end punch needed for movies—particularly for action scenes where the bass really rattles the walls. It also performs wonderfully for music, providing depth and warmth without being overwhelming or muddy. Whether you're watching a film or listening to music, the sub's bass is clean and powerful, making it an essential part of my home theater setup.Build Quality: The cabinet is made with furniture-grade walnut laminate that looks fantastic. The dark wood grain finish blends nicely with my living room decor, and it feels solid and well-constructed. This sub is built to last, and the attention to detail in its design is evident. One thing to note is the size of the cabinet—this is a 10-inch subwoofer housed in an oversized enclosure. While this is great for performance, it also means the sub is not the most compact option available. If you have limited space, be aware that it sticks out about 8 inches beyond my entertainment center. For those with more room, however, it’s a perfect fit for delivering deep, rich bass.Controls: A nice touch on the back of the sub is the dual controls, which have magnifiers on top of the dials, making them easy to adjust and see from above. The knobs feel solid and are well-engineered, adding to the overall premium feel of the subwoofer.Final Thoughts: While the RP-1000 SW is the smallest in the RP line of subs, it delivers fantastic performance for small to medium-sized rooms. If you have the space and your receiver supports dual subwoofers, you could even purchase a second one for a truly immersive experience. For the price point, Klipsch offers top-notch quality, and this subwoofer is a perfect match for anyone looking to complete their Klipsch home theater system. If you’re aiming for that Klipsch theater sound, this sub is an excellent choice.Highly recommend it!

Pairs Well With Klipsch the Sevens
I’m blown away by this sub and it pairs well with the Klipsch the Sevens. I almost purchased the Klipsch 12” sub (RP-1200SW) but glad I didn’t. My listening room is about 15x15 and with the amount of bass this sub puts out the 12” would have been way overkill. I plan on moving this sub around the room to figure out the best position for it. I purchased a high quality 15’ shielded cable to run from my Sevens to the sub but I may need a little longer. Make sure you buy the appropriate cables for your amp or powered speakers. This sub is HUGE as well so plan on measuring in advance to make sure it’s fits your space. This sub absolutely sounds amazing and puts a huge smile on my face every time I hear it.

Another great subwoofer from the best.
Always the best from Klipsch. I still have a 12 " down firing subwoofer still kicking since 2005. I recommend this new style extrusion cabinet and the speaker itself. You want real deep long term , long lasting subwoofer,, Klipsch is your trusted company. Paul Kiipsch, is and will remain a leader in speaker development. Best for the money. Take it from a former DJ, from the late70s, to the early90s. It works for the home like a professional would expect from Klipsch. Since 1947 Paul Klipsch, never let us down. Most Sincerely, JG.

Good sub, interesting warranty policy
Update Mar. 3: I am updating the overall rating to 4 out of 5 stars for the following reasons:1. Warranty Policy - 3/5 stars - While the service techs/customer support were quick to diagnose the issue, the warranty policy had them ship me the woofer kit/component of the subwoofer only and I had to replace the woofer in the sub myself. While not difficult to do, this is not what I had expected from a subwoofer at this price level.2. Customer Support - 4/5 stars - While there were some delays, the folks I worked with were very knowledgeable, and despite some staff shortages on their end, were able to process my warranty claim relatively quickly and with minimal challenges.3. Product Quality - 5/5 - Once I got the sub working, even at -7dB on my a/v receiver and the gain at about 60%, the sub sounds smooth and the bass response is fantastic. Looking forward to fiddling with the gain and settings a bit more to get to the right balance of bass tone/tune and rumble.Update Feb. 26: Based on a push test, this sub has a damaged woofer, so it was actually DOA. Klipsch support worked with me last week to get a replacement sub ordered. I have updated this review rating to 3 based on that interaction, and will update it again once I receive the replacement and can test it out.Original Review: I had super high hopes for this high end sub. However, since day 1, something hasn't sounded right. The sub rumbles when there is no to little music/sound and it's a very rough almost sputtering sound. I thought it was port chuffing, but I don't think that's the case anymore. The only way to avoid the sound is to turn the sub gain lower than the midpoint. I was able to drive a less premium Klipsch sub harder in the same setup. Currently trying to work with Klipsch product support, but they have not been super responsive.

Big size, huge sound!
After a year of use I can report no issues at all, and the size and sound impress everyone that sees/hears it.

If box, big sound!
With this I upgraded from the Regular Reference 12 inch sub to this. Both sound great but the rumble of this feels a bit more intent and precise.I’m not an audiophile so I just go off my gut and my gut tells me that this cost a lot more than my last sub and that means it’s a lot better. The sub is HUGE though for a 10” woofer. It’s 24” deep with the grill on. Luckily I was able to remove the bottom shelf from my stand and it fit.Great sounding sub. The finish is also a lot nicer than the regular reference sub.
