Bought for my elderly mum. A few teething troubles to start with. Not helped with the instructions provided.

Bought for my mum who lost her previous phone she does'nt like the colour she prefers white she's set in her ways but it works

I bought this phone on Monday cannot send text messages can receive them but cannot send them just goes to outbox, thought it was a faulty phone because all reviews were great so send for another one as I need a phone because my son is disabled and have to have a phone for nurses deliveries so was going to send this one back when the new one came. new one came same thing cant send texts there must be a batch full of faulty phones because no one on here has mentioned it has happened to them.

The media could not be loaded. This is a great idea for those older people that don't like the idea of a mobile phone. Placed on it charging stand they can look just like a conventional hands-free house phone. With all the benefits of a mobile phone. The larger button configuration, makes it easier for the older person, or someone with impaired vision, to be able to use this phone easier. It has all the functions that you would need from a normal mobile phone without the APP's. It also has an SOS function, and enables you to pre-program a number to call an emergency. This phone looks incredibly well made is very sturdy, It was really nice in my hand. I found it did everything that I would requireof a basic non App phone.

This is a nice big simple to operate and use big button mobile phone. It's in good condition and works perfectly as it should. My grandad, who's in his 90s, really appreciates mobile phones like this one. He's had this one before, which lasted him a long time, which he's missed. It's not complicated for him to use, and its big buttons make it much easier for him to see which digits he's dialling. The screen and text are also big enough for him to read.He appreciates that it has an SOS button on the back that will call up to 5 people in sequence of each other when he just holds the button down intentionally for a couple of seconds. This can be life a life saving feature and function.He also likes that it has a torch light and the size of this phone as it fits perfectly in the palm of his hand. He doesn't use the camera or the radio, but he appreciates all the other features that this phone has. It's a great plus that the phone has its own stand. It means that it's easier for him to pick up and put back on the stand due to the space around the phone. It's more difficult for him to pick mobile phones and other things up off a surface as that requires using his fingertips more. So this phone is brilliant for those with arthritis in the hands like him.For the current cost of £29.99 that it's currently selling for, it's a good value mobile phone designed specifically for the elder generation.

The media could not be loaded. For elderly person this is probably phone to go ahead. It covers all problems which older person may have such an bad eye sight, bad hearing, limited movement. Phone is not really that big, much smaller than todays smartphone however it has massive numeric keypads for ease of using. Main menu have large icons and has limited functions comes down to basic, still having fm radio function which works great actually. On back there is SOS button located to use in case of emergency, it has to be programmed prior to using so ideally family member need to set up list of contacts to be used in situation when need urgent attention. Sounds is very clear and loud which is must in phones like this. I like that there is charging base included, so easy to put phone onto it and it will align itself for charging.There is some functions I think are useless like torch, personally I couldn’t make it working. Locking function should be disabled since elderly person might lock phone accidentally without realising and might not know to unlock it. It happened for my grandpa before. Other than that, great value for such an phone.

We liked the idea of a back up phone for my mum -who has a smart phone, so this seemed ideal. Although my mum is quite tech savvy I was pleased to see how easy and simple the layout was.The buttons are large and are distinct and it has a clear bold display for numbers etc but definitely not as good quality as a smartphone but it's still good enough for slightly ageing eyes.It's easy to navigate to the other functions such as the contacts book and other call list functions including redialing.There is a alert function on the phone which can ring up to 5 emergency contacts in turn. If pressed this does make a loud alert sound like a siren. This noise could be a bit frightening for the elderly so probably best to explain and warn them in advance.The phone has no online capability and so no smart phone functions but does have standard text messaging including a similar function to the 'calling' emergency contacts, only this function does it via text message.Charging couldn't be easier and is done by an easy to use docking station This means no fiddly cables or adapters just plug in the dock and charge. The phone does hold it's charge really well with the battery lasting quite a while over a few days. There are a few other additional features that you'd find on more advanced phones including a radio function and a simple camera which is useful.This is a great easily explainable phone for possibly the older generation or as a emergency back up phone. It's good value for money and compact enough for pockets or handbags.
