Ultra-Sharp Stainless Steel Kitchen Knife Set - Chef Knives Set (17 pcs Set - Black with Knife Block)

On first impression was quite suprised how nice they looked. Only thing that i found annoying OCD there is a slot behind the chefs knife that could have been useful to purchase a second chef knife to complete the entire set. Instead they have put a plastic barrier guard in the way so you are unable to place a second knife. But apart from that i still have given it a 5 star. These knifes are only temporary so i can practice my chef training skills again. Then i will buy a lovely Japanese set next year.

These are very good knives, they are sharp and so far staying sharp, I am following the instructions which suggests you sharpen them weekly...the sharpener is easy to use too. To date I haven't seen any of the issues mentioned in other reviews, like the non stick coating peeling. However I am being very fussy with them, washing/ drying them immediately after use, not putting in the dishwasher or leaving them soaking etc. Be careful using the peeler...it really is very sharp.

Had these knifes for around 4 years now. Good quality for the price. Do now need some new ones as they’re getting blunt and sharpening doesn’t help anymore, but have lasted years. Good quality all the knifes and handles are still intact The colour does wear off the blade after continued use. Easy to use, light weight knives. Good size knives. When new very sharp and good cut. Never bothered using the stand provided as it does take up quite a bit of space.

Finally upgraded our kitchen knives and opted for this set as looked good value. They are excellent quality and look good on the worktop too. Recommended

This slick set of knives has brought back joy in cooking for me. It is by far the sharpest set of knives I've had; even the veg peeler is sharp as heck! The knives feel sturdy and make short work of anything I use them on, slicing through vegetables and meat with ease and grace. Knives clean easily in a single go-over as it seems it has an anti-stick coating. Overall I'd definitely recommend these, as I have recommended them to my own friends.

Great set of knives!

This is the third set of these knives I have bought as gifts for other people. My girlfriend (now wife) had some old knives she never took care of, so I looked around for economic knives I could give her. That was the first set. They arrived, and I was reasonably impressed. I love too cook, and admit to being a bit of a snob with my kitchenware. However, I could not afford a couple of thousand dollars to give her a really nice knife set. This set looks good in its case, and the knives seem to hold a good edge. Now that we are married, I use them almost every day. The pizza knife works great on a crisp crust, the rounded edge snaps through the crust. On a softer crust, the serrated edge seems to work well. The bread knife is pretty standard, but that means it cuts through bread just the way I want. The chef's and paring knives are both decent and work good for cutting fruits, vegetables, meats, etc. My only complaint is the knives do not have the weight of my high-end santoku. If you want a heavy cleaver or something similar, you will need to buy it separately. Otherwise, this has almost everything I need. The second set went to my stepdaughter, to replace the knives I refused to use at her house ;). She loves them, and got rid of her old knives. Now, my grandson keeps complaining about his knives, and covets his mothers. So, the third set is for him.

Die Messer kommen sehr scharf an. Der Schäler sowie der Schleifer sind einfach zu bedienen und qualitativ nicht antastbar. Mit letzterem habe ich auch meine alten Messer geschliffen und auch diese Schneiden wieder wie beim ersten Mal. Der Messerblock aus Plasktik scheint sehr stabil und haltbar zu sein und die Messer lassen sich sehr einfach lagern. Das einzige was mich stutzig macht ist, dass die Klinge scheinbar an einem Metalstück im innern angelehnt wird. Wenn ich es andersrum reinlege, steht ein Teil der Klinge etwas raus. Bei "Klinge auf Metal" stellts mir etwas die Haare auf, darum lege ich die behutsam in den Block damit die Klinge wirklich nur anliegt und nicht schleift. Alles in allem sehr empfehlenswert!!
