I honestly couldn't be happier with this thing. I bought the Onkyo RZ70 to be the main "processor" for my setup, and it’s been rock solid. If you’re debating between this and those super expensive separates/processors, just save the cash and grab this. Audioholics measured it recently and said it had the best test results they've ever seen in this price class, which makes me feel pretty good about the purchase. Zero HDMI Headaches (Finally): This is usually where receivers annoy me, but the RZ70 nails it. My previous Denon was a total nightmare with HDMI handshakes and black screens, but I haven't had a single issue with this Onkyo. I run my PC through it to the TV, and it passes 4K at 120Hz without any flickering or handshake issues. My PS5 VRR works instantly too. Zero problems with my Apple TV and with any Atmos content. It has Chromecast, Spotify, Sonos...literally anything you can throw at a receiver it will accept...and everything just feels buttery smooth. The Audio Setup (It’s a beast): I’m actually using the RCA pre-outs to feed a pair of Hypex Nilai monoblocks for my front Revel F36 towers, while the Onkyo handles the rest (KEF Q250c center, Q150 rears, and Pioneer Atmos modules). The integration is seamless. It has two independent 12V triggers, so my external amps wake up automatically when I turn the receiver on—no weird workarounds needed. Note that I have tried the internal amps for the Revels and they drive with authority! One massive surprise was the internal DAC. I A/B tested it against my Eversolo DMP-A8 (which is a dedicated high-end streamer), and I could barely hear a difference. It’s super clean and detailed. Living with it: I use Roon for music, and the RZ70 pops up immediately as a Roon Ready endpoint. It switches from "Movie mode" to "Hi-Res Music" instantly without glitches. Also, the Web Setup is a lifesaver. Instead of dealing with clunky on-screen menus with the remote, I just opened my laptop browser to rename inputs and tweak settings. Way faster. Dirac Live was also great—it tightened up my dual SVS 3000 Micro subs so the bass is punchy instead of just booming all over the room. The "Meh" Stuff: It’s not perfect. The remote feels kinda cheap and plasticky for a flagship unit, though it works fine. And heads up—this thing is HUGE and heavy. Make sure your shelf is deep enough because it barely fits on mine. But I guess that’s the price you pay for the power. Once dialed in, the RZ70 brought my Klipsch RF-7 III-based 7.2.4 Atmos system to life with incredible dynamics, pinpoint imaging, and thunderous bass control. It handles action movies like Top Gun: Maverick and Fury with chest-pounding impact, but also excels with music—especially paired with quality DACs and amps. Outstanding amp. Easy setup, and the Dirac software does a brilliant job of room / speaker correction. Amazingly powerful, giving punch where my older Denon was just meh. Good remote and settings adjustments. Works very will with my TV via eARC. Did I say this unit has power!? The only quibble is the control of Zone2. Not very well thought out (Denon does it better). No numerical volume representation, so control is by ear only. Also, to control it, you've got to push (and hold) the Zone2 button each time you want to adjust the sound (it's actually active for only 8 seconds, then reverts to mains). But this is minor. I'm just thrilled by 99% of what this amp can do. Great connectivity options. Does everything I need, and does it very well. First rate sound quality. Highest recommendations.

The TX‑RZ70 delivers strong power, clean sound, and excellent room correction right out of the box. Dirac Live works extremely well, and the overall audio performance is impressive for both movies and music. The interface is straightforward, and the feature set is one of the most complete in this class. The only drawback for me is the physical size — this receiver is exceptionally large and requires a bigger‑than‑average cabinet or stand to fit comfortably. If you have the space, it’s a powerful and highly capable unit.

Não poderia ter escolhido receiver melhor. Ele vale cada centavo do valor. Por 16 mil tenho o top das galáxias da Onkyo e que tem mais recursos e tecnologias de outras marcas (Yamaha RX-A8A) que custam mais de 25 mil reais. O Onkyo tem o Dirac que é um programa fantástico que ensina onde colocar as caixas acústicas e subwoofer além de equalizar o som como um todo para eliminar distorções, vazios (locais onde o subwoofer não é ouvido/sentido). Antes dele, tenho um receiver Yamaha que faz bem menos e custando bem mais. A Yamaha é uma marca de excelência mas cobra preços absurdos sem razão pois oferece menos tecnologia e recursos que o receiver tx-rz70 da Onkyo. Estou muito feliz com ele. Vale super a pena.

Onkyo txrz70, es el mejor receptor que he tenido, pase por technics, Yamaha, Pioneer y un primer onkyo en el 2010. Hoy puedo decir con absoluta cerveza que el txrz70, es un receptor hi end, el audio de las películas y la música es, asombrosamente espectacular, el receptor nunca se esfuerza para reproducir lo que le mandes, explosiones de las películas y las sutilezas de las mismas, en cuanto a la música, puede reproducir sonidos que antes en otros reproductores se escuchaban, ásperos y con cierta fatiga auditiva, mi set de altavoces es de gama media alta, en configuración 5.2.4 uso 2 subwoofers svs pb 2000, la calibración Dirac live es magnífica, les aconsejo que para la calibración usen una laptop y un micrófono mejor que el que trae el receptor, yo calibré con el micrófono eversolo EM O1, que es excelente y cuesta menos de la mitad que el UMIK mini dsp, al finalizar la calibración solo aumenté un poco los graves en la curva Dirac, y en el receptor ajusté hacia arriba algunos decibeles el subwofer, ahora todo suena espectacular, el sonido en general es potente y claro, el receptor onkyo txrz70 es un tope de gama que hace honor a su nombre
