is this gonna sound better than fiio q3 origial?

Never had the Q3,but I have the thx onyx which cost around $70 more the sound is comparable. The onyx is more smoother and ethereal, but the fiio hangs and it's way more versatile and technical. Can't beat the price and mainly got it for the inclusion of 4.4 balanced output. The app is also top notch.

How long does it take to charge the KA5 up?

It doesn’t have a battery. It uses you phone/tablet/pc/Mac energy to work.

apple ios updates: Can you load firmware updates if you only have an ios system?

My KA5 refuses to work with iOS (iPhone SE and iPhone 12). Very disappointing. About the update: the firmware update can only be done on a Windows computer. Sad, but true.
