ARRL's Tech Q&A 8th Edition - Quick and Easy Path to Your First Ham Radio License

At least that's my thought. I have a A&P license, and for our written test, this was very similar (structurally) - you have a pool of questions that are picked-from for your actual exam (but instead of on a computer, the A&P written was actually an oral exam). We had what we called a 'gouge book' that had all the questions - but no context like the ARRL book.I like the format. It really covers the 'need-to-know' stuff when you're reading the content. That's very helpful for understanding the context of the questions. The best thing about the questions themselves is that they are part of the learning. The folks who wrote the questions were very keen to have them teach, as well as learning from a 'textbook' such as this. The license you receive, as with the A&P, is really a license to learn more. These ARRL books really make that process have a solid foundation on which to build.
