It makes a difference
This authentic Mirin from Japan has a mellow flavor profile and is a definite step-up from my usual hack of substituting sake' and sugar for Mirin. It is a quality product and compliments my shoyu (soy sauce) based marinades. It was a deserved splurge for me and I know it will be missed when I run out.

next level chinese cooking
started using this during my chinese food period. everybody knows soy sauce but mirin is one of those secret ingredients that gives chinese food it's distinctive delicious unique flavor. I use it for marinades, salad dressings, and as a condiment.
