A potentially useful alternative for struggling students
I have used these for a few years if I get cramp in my hand or if it happens to be in my pocket (it is small and compact so easy to carry as a spare). Quite useful if writing on a clipboard. However, I have worked with several people who have struggled with horrible handwriting and using this does occasionally help. Pen grips are difficult habits to break through years of schooling and these do offer a potentially useful alternative and perhaps a starting point to develop better habits. That we have an exam system that still relies on handwriting at speed is a curious survival from an earlier economy, but until reason finally breaks into UK schooling (a distant prospect under the current regime) it is worth exploring this and other approaches to find what works to break bad habits or as an alternative for writing legibly and fast.Refills are smaller than one would like and relatively expensive when compared to a Bic Crystal but easily sourced.

A must for people with arthritis or Repetitive strain injury (RSI)
It is a weird looking pen but it comes with 3 refills (One in the pen and 2 spare) so it will last a while.I have used these pens for years due to RSI. I find that using a normal pen if I have to write a lot makes my hand cramp. This pen doesn't. It is like an extension of your finger and feels very natural to hold. It isn't heavy and it has a clip so you don't lose it.This pen is not only very comfortable to use, you really don't have to grip it to use it. This is great if you have arthritis and find it hard to grip a normal pen. It is also a very smooth pen to write with and I have never had an issue with its ink flow.I am confident that once you start using this pen, you will never use an ordinary pen ever again. Yes it IS that good.

Not sure what to expect
Thought I'd give it a go as my handwriting is shocking. Not that good, a bit to small so my hand feels a tad crapmed up when writing. Probably best suited to teens and kids.

Excellent Ergo-Sof by PenAgain
This pen is excellent for carpal tunnel syndrome sufferers, the unique design allows it to be held firmly even when wearing wrist splints and the design means that you don't have to grip the pen to write. My handwriting style is virtually unaltered and, after a couple of days practice, writing with this pen is fluid and virtually pain-free. The pen is neat, with a retractable tip, and feels of good quality. The pack includes the pen, 3 ink refills (one in, 2 spare) and an instruction leaflet. Well worth a try if, like me, CTS makes writing painful.

Great pen for just small, and small wonky hands alike!!
Just what I needed. It's a great pen for smaller hands, even smaller wonky ones like mine. Would be good for a child or someone with small hands but not if you have larger hands or fingers as it's a small pen. I'm really pleased with it, you need next to no pressure to get it to work and with it being retractable it will last longer, glad that it's also refillable.

Helped me write when I had a broken wrist
I bought this when I broke my wrist and had my wrist & thumb in a cast, meaning I couldn’t hold a regular pen. This helped although, for my specific purposes, I did have to build up one of the sides with blutac to enable me to hold it properly (I appreciate this won’t normally be the case but maybe helpful if someone else is looking at these pens for the same reason I did!). I’ve knocked off a star as the writing quality is ‘ok’ but not great and certainly not £7-a-pen quality, whilst the barrel is (obviously) quite short, so I assume it’s life will be relatively short. I only needed something for 5-weeks so it was great for what I needed.

Good for my hypermobile hands
The media could not be loaded. More comfortable than regular pens for me. I get pain on the outside (pinky side) of my hand and forearm when I use a regular pen a lot. This helps prevent that. However, it doesn't last very long. I've had it for 2 months and I've already had to replace the ink cartridge once. (I write a lot as a student)

It's good
I have EDS and I can't really write without serous pain and spasms of my hand. I'm able to write small things now before the pain sets in.
