Why would one buy the Gripper2 Go instead of the regular sized one? What are the advantages and disadvantages?

Jon, The GRR-RIPPER 2GO was specifically designed for the woodworker/DIYer that just bought their first table saw and want to keep their hands safe. It is an entry level option that provides excellent safety to the new user that does not have a lot of set up and moving parts to learn while they are learning the saw. The GR-100 is more adjustable and can help with more intricate and difficult cuts than the GR-2GO, so as the user expands their woodworking abilities, they can step up to the GR-100 or GR-200 when needed. The GRR-RIPPER 2GO is also popular with contractors on the jobsite who do not need the full capability of the GR-100, but still want the GRR-RIPPER safety they use in their shop. Finally, GRR-RIPPER GR-100 and GR-200 owners are buying the GR-2GO as well! When their GRR-RIPPER is set up for a specific cut, having the GRR-RIPPER 2GO on hand means they can make a quick cut as needed without having to reset the GR-100.

What is max Blade height?

The GRR-RIPPER 2 GO works on top of your stock, so there is no inherent stock thickness limit. Certainly not on the router table, band saw or jointer. On the table saw, the GR 2 GO must guide along your rip fence, so the height of your fence may be the first limit. Usually 2 to 2-1/2". If you add a tall fence to your saw, then the blade height itself becomes the limit, typically 3 to 3-1/4". Just remember that all three legs of your GRR-RIPPER 2 GO must be on the stock for stability and safety.

What if your cut is on the line between colors?

If your cut is exactly on the border between two colors, like at 3/4", the legs will not get cut no matter which way you hold the GRR-RIPPER 2GO. We designed it that way, the Color Code Index System really works.

As a novice on table saws, just got a gr-100. would it make any sense to also get the gripper2 go or would it be better to get another gr-100?

For two-handed operation, like with longer boards, I recommend that both Pushblocks are the same so either hand can be the last to push the stock through. If you already have the GR-100, a second one is better in my opinion. We do sell a lot of the GRR-RIPPER 2GOs to GR-100 owners, but that is in addition to having two GR-100s.

Does exactly what it says on the tin. A little expensive perhaps however it is an original product and I suppose a lot of time has gone into product development. Ideal for making sure your piece of wood stays close to your fence to keep the perfect cut. Highly recommend

I'm not new to woodworking, but I still get anxious around table saws and routers. Any safety tool that'll help ease my mind is useful. I like that this MICROJIG design safely controls the board along the fence and over the blade, virtually eliminating my need for push sticks. The minimum rip width is truly encouraging because I'd experienced a painful, but funny kickback lesson early on in my woodworking journey. I feel comfortable letting my kids work on the saw with this block. It has opened up a new dimension to our projects. The price is acceptable because there are several competing designs, but are lacking the qualities that make the MICROJIG tool superior. My only regret is not getting a second block for long pieces of wood. As my confidence grows, I may more seriously consider upgrading to the GR-100 and 1/8" accessory.

I bought a dewalt table saw and want to be as safe as possible. I like how this push is quite tall, so if anything did happen my hand if further awayu than cheaper options. very grippy
