Not accurate info or helpful in any way! The author doesn’t know what she’s talking about!
So I got the kindle version of this book so I could read up on the strategies for addressing procrastination because as someone that deals with ADD, many times I struggle with not being able to start projects or at times compete projects. I need to find a way to work with my ADD, and not against it. All I can say is that this book was not helpful in the slightest! The author said that there’s no link between ADD/ADHD and procrastination and that’s simply not true. It has to do with executive functions, and the way the brain works and how it’s wired. People that have ADD don’t have the same “wiring” in their brain, and one of the results in some people is procrastination. She also doesn’t seem to understand that procrastination isn’t a choice for individuals with ADD/ADHD. She wrote of how chronic procrastination would negatively impact personal relationships and jobs and basically all aspects of someone’s life. (Umm hello, you don’t need to tell someone with ADD/ADHD that procrastination is a bad thing! We already know! And we feel incredibly bad about it already! You are not doing anyone any favors by pointing out obvious!) Her research and data seem like they were pulled from a quick google search with nothing of substance to make her info stand out against anyone else’s, I found better info without even trying to find it.
