Felco Spares Replacement Anvil Blade for Felco 7,8-7/4 Made in Switzerland

Over 30 years ago I was told by a professional gardener to buy Felco secateurs and that I wouldn't regret it ... how right he was, If you watch any gardening program you will always see Felco on there and for all the right reasons too. At the time I bought the Felco 7 version (there are loads of versions to choose from now) and they have never let me down in all those years. I decided that I should buy a few spares, 'just in case', and the Anvil Blade and Cutting Blade are the obvious two to buy, as they are at the 'working end'. These secateurs are easy to dismantle and keep sharp (TIP : Don't overdo the sharpening though as they will keep their edge for ages !) and I for one will newer look anywhere else for secateurs. 5 Stars all day long from me !

I bought both blades - the anvil and the upper blade, and on recommendation from a previous reviewer a new spring too, for my Felco secateurs. The replacements in total cost less than half the cost of a new pair of the same secateurs. I followed the video from the Felco website on how to replace the one blade, and used that knowledge to do the other one at the same time. It was very simple. I didn't have the correct spanners, but used pliers and a screwdriver instead. It worked fine and I am delighted to be able to tackle my pruning again using less pressure on my hands as these new blades cut through twigs like butter. Should have done it a long time ago!

Secateurs now cutting beautifully

Not easy to fit, but overhauling old secateaurs, and with the other blade replaced, made these as good as new.

I loved it! The only thing I was concerned about was how to replace the chain? I contacted the company and they made several attempts at sending me info, but it was always in a format I couldn't use - not their fault. Eventually, we got round it and I received a video. Because of all the hassle, they very kindly, and unexpectedly, sent me a gift of two new chains and a sharpener! So thoughtful and gratefully appreciated!

Excellent quality replacement component, relatively easy to fit without special tools. Be careful when tightening up, as the mechanism needs just a little slack or it feels tight when you use it. You need to purchase both anvil blade and cutting blade to get back to pristine performance.
