Perfect
I love the sound. I get it real close for external noise reduction without sibilance issues. Proximity effect up close is nice but still very clear. "Mouth sounds" not very prominent. (Like lip smacking and other similar dry mouth tacky noises) Handling noise rejection is ridiculously good. Insanely good off axis sound rejection at a very wide range of frequencies. All I would want added is built in filters since I'm going direct from my interface to the camera. Just low/high cut options would be nice but I've been fine without them. Used it for years without issues. Including dropping it. Pop filter works a little better than others I've used but the real secret is to remove it and use this as a studio mic with nothing on it. Oh man it's so good. Mic from above to eliminate plosives. Or use a proper studio pop filter .

Excelente micrófono
Es excelente, lo usé en mi home estudio junto a mi apolo twings x y un preamplificador nive 1073 la grabación quedó de lujo el micrófono es plano y me da la posibilidad de moldear las frecuencias de la voz del cantante.

noise problems
The sound is perfect, but it came with a noise problem when the grill is touched, apparently from the factory. I asked for a refund and I am asking for another one hoping that sweetwater sends me one that is not defective.

Unsurpassed clarity for live performance
Great mic. Clear . Needs a little EQ to get the correct sound but the clarity is amazing. 5 times better than an SM58.

Kills the SM58, Beta 58 and the Telefunken M80
Professional live sound engineer and I purchased one of the SR117’s to test at a show and the vocalist I used it on wouldn’t give it back, so I ordered 6 more it’s that good. Whom ever commented Earthworks mics are noisy, ba ha ha ha! Shure and Telefunken should pay close attention to this mic, it changes the game.

Sharp, clear sound. Wide and flat response. Excellent rejection.
The sharpness of a condenser and off axis rejection of a dynamic! I use this in an untreated room and get nearly zero room noise. The flat frequency response gives it flexibility to EQ for spoken word or singing.

Great mic
Remarkably flat and uncolored, just what you are really after. Great build quality. It only lacks a black chrome logo...lol.
