its great car batter tester especially for those who are new to the automotive.
im a ase certfied tech back in the day we would just have some one in the car cranking the vehicle up while I had a digital multi meter a very expensive one looking at voltage once the person starts to crank the vehicle if the meter dropped to 9 volts you know the battery cold cranking amps is low and not holding the load. so you know the batter is bad for sure. if it dropped 11 volts then you know its not the battery you would have to do more tested in the charging system one by one. my multi meter is one 500 dollars. this load tester tells you everything the voltage, the cold cranking amps its supposed to be and the current cold cranking amps. this will prompt you step by step on the testing, it wont allow you to cross. so you wont damage anything. this is why I say this is perfect for people that don't do this for a living but need to test their own battery without taking it to auto zone. this is very very portable. I work as a professional so all my tools are matco and snap on. these tools are extremely sturdy. this laud tested is not. that's the only thing I can say about this. if you drop it, it might break easily.
