Not sure what this substance is, but after several rinses and following instructions, this debris has gotten worse and sticks to the side of my thermoflask. Also the smell has gotten more profound with use of this product. I have not contacted seller, seeing as now the return window has closed. Regardless if its 'food grade' silicon, I don't think it can be good to be ingesting this material. To be clear, not only is the water I'm using for the ice bottled but the water poured over the cubes is bottled as well. It is super convenient and works very well, but have to wonder how dangerous this can be to my body.

Just wish it was a little taller

This product has no identifying labeling or embossed markings on the cup or insert to determine if the product is dishwasher safe. I popped it in top rack thinking- it's plastic & silicone- it should be fine. NOPE it's not fine. The yellow color insert is so warped it won't fit at all into the cup. The blue one is only slightly warped and will be usable as long as I don't pop it in dishwasher again! Beware to buyers: this product is hand wash only.
