Garage Door Reflective Insulation Kit: 16 Double Bubble Insulation Panels, 24 x 48 Inch Aluminum Radiant Barrier with Heavy-Duty Tape

I was skeptical at how good this was going to work for the added thermal protection. I was blown away at the performance. Installation was fairly easy. I used a sharp pair of cutting scissors instead of the box cutter that was supplied. I marked and measured all the panels and cut the panels to fit each section. This process was slow but I think I had all the pieces cut and installed in a few hours. I took my time and worked over a few days. The following weekend we had a dramatic drop in temperature. I used a laser temp gun and acquired readings on several different locations of the garage door. I went from high to low, with the panel installed and without. I was averaging about 15 to 20 degree difference! I would get a reading of 70 on the panel and about 50 on the metal garage door. I went to the local fabric store and picked up some cheap black felt on sale and cut them out to go over the windows in the top rack of the garage door. With the felt installed and the panels in place, you can't tell from the outside. I highly recommend this product to anyone who is considering it. It has significantly raised the temperature in my garage to make it bearable during the cold winter. I haven't even thought about adding a heater as it is manageable without one so far.

Easy to install, insulation value is probably better in a warmer climate than in a really cold environment but it's keeper.

Product works well, but might need additional good double sided tape. I cleaned the door thoroughly first, like instructed, but the insulation still came off after a relatively short period. Used good double sided tape and its fine. Does reduce heat and cold temps in garage.

Wish the sticky tape had a better bottom to sit on but I found a larger piece of plastic for it. But these panels are perfect and works great. Not hard to install.

The insulated panels are great. The double sided tape sucks and consistently fails to where I have to go back to various locations and re-stick with my own double sided tape.

This made a big difference in being able to have comfort while working in garage. Haven't had any extreme temps yet but was able to warm up garage in an hour vs couple hours and maintain the temp much better as well. I saw many reviews complaining of the tape not sticking and panels falling but gave it a chance anyway, I took my time and properly cleaned the door as stated in instructions and then followed the directions to peel the backing and wait 10 minutes before putting the panels on and have not had one panel fall or come loose in the month since installing. The only difficulty with this is peeling the backing off the tape. Definitely a product I'll recommend to others

NO Tape Required! Easy Peezy. My 16 panels are 20.5 by 42 inches, so these slipped right in it tucked into the metal edge of the panels with 2 inches of extra to facilitate the install. As stated, no tape required. So we will see how they hold up once it gets hot. Its cool in April in Texas so I will update later. (I have foil tape on standby of needed) however I am well pleased on how easy this install was--30 minutes max. My fallback position is to install the Matador thing over this, don't think I will need it tho. Respectfully submitting, Daniel

This garage door installation kit contains easy to follow instructions. If you can measure and cut on a straight line, you've got this! The temp difference between the uninsulated garage door panel and the one with insulation is over 10 degrees! Plus, the seller includes his phone number with the instructions. I had one quick question regarding the adhesive tape. I called, he picked up and answered my question all within 3-4 minutes. Awesome seller!
