Saw this roller latch first on a neighbor’s front door. Really liked the concept so I bought one for a new door we were having built. First, the install is really elegant looking since there's no visible door latch. Second, you can adjust the height of the spring loaded roller to set the amount of grip. Seems sturdy, good quality … highly recommend.

Can adjust easily for what holding strength is required

Replaced 2 sliding closet doors for our mechanical closet with regular doors so it's easier to perform maintenance. Used some plastic catches from the orange big box hardware store. 3 out of 3 purchased broke. 2 during installation. One lasted about 3 weeks. They were cheap and this was reflected in their quality. These took a little more work to install but work very nicely.

Good price and quality

I purchased these for my entry doors that has push/pull handles installed on them. I needed to be able to keep the door closed without having to use the dead bolt. I ordered two pairs and one set had adjustment screws that were milled incorrectly rendering the item unusable as the screw wasn’t able to adjust the ball level. I was initially disappointed…until my very lovely experience dealing with the sellers who were extremely professional and prompt with communication. They immediately offered to have the damaged item refunded. All the other ball catches worked well from the box and appeared well made and of strong heavy material. Very honest sellers, I would recommend.
