Anki Overdrive X52 Ice Super Truck

Son loves Anki but quite hard to get hold off extra cars and quite expensive but he picked this as an addition to collection and works well with the set and a big hit with him

Adds additional interest and gameplay to the Anki overdrive starter pack. Also looks the business

Truck does not hold its charge. Suspect battery at fault (stock just sitting on shelf - not good for the battery unless its charge is kept up). Tried repeatedly running (rarely makes it around the track once before running out of power) and then recharging, to try and re-awaken the battery, but no luck. Next course of action is to replace the battery which is the root cause of the issue. The only lucky thing out of all this is that I payed a fraction of the full asking price otherwise would be returning this item. See no point asking for a replacement because chances are will end up with another truck with the same issue. Some people may be lucky and get a truck with a good battery.

My Son is very happy with the truck and excited to play with it every day. Not as quick as the other cars, but not sure if he would be able to control it if it was quicker

Anki Overdrive as a company got taken over and so all current Anki products are old stock...so are the batteries. You may be able to get some extra life into them through training but beware of buying these products, these are not “pristine” new batteries with 100% health. First one was sent back as couldn’t even do a single track circuit. Second one is acceptable but not brilliant. Batteries are soldered-in and therefore not easily replaced.

Arrived in good time but unfortunately this truck doesn’t work very well battery Was flat as a pancake and doesn’t perform very well as when fully charged doesn’t last long on the track roughly about 8mins new batteries are needed to be fitted as these aren’t made anymore I would say the trucks were probably made in 2018 hence the short life of the batteries so it’s wise to say any new ones purchased will all have the same problems

Hij was dusdanig goedkoop dat ik hem niet voor defecte accu wilde terugsturen, aangezien vervanging niet tot de mogelijkheden behoorde. Gelukkig had ik nog genoeg reserve accu’s liggen die ik al voor andere Overdrive auto’s gekocht had. En met even solderen was het probleem ook opgelost.

Fatal el camión a duras penas Ace 2 vueltas.... Anki ya ni fabrica estos coches... Quien lo compre que cambien la batería directamente a 3.7v. 100mah... 20min o más de diversión... Pediría directamente una batería gratis del proveedor... Sería lo justo ya que saben ellos de sobras que no funcionan... Y nada más quieren dinero

Ich frage mich immer noch - wie konnte Anki Pleite gehen? Bestimmt nicht wegen schlechter Ideen und halbherziger Umsetzung deren. Eher der damalige Ehegeiz schnell wieder an Geld zu kommen oder der Versuch bald möglichst Gewinn für die Startupanleger zu erlangen. Denn ich bin immernoch begeistert von dem Anki Overdrive Produkt als Ganzes. Die Supertrucks ergänzen es ganz gut und die neuen Spielmodi machen noch mehr Spass durch den actionfilmartige Takeover oder Ragemode. Auch technisch sehr gut durchdachtes Konzept und Realisierung. Man freut sich über die feinsten Einfälle die die Entwickler damals gehabt und berücksichtigt hatten. Schade wirklich um den Verlust. Bestimmt hätten sie noch etwas geniales rausgebracht...
