I like the scanner a lot. The different level of light is nice when scanning small items. I have used it to take scans of small keepsakes. As well as to digitize some notepads of hand written notes. The scanner is well packaged. Ran into one small hiccup where the software wouldn't see the camera, but a reboot after installing the software fixed the issue. I took one star off for the webcam. It's a nice concept to be able to have a dual purpose scanner and webcam, but when I have it on my desk where I can scan items it's too close to use as a webcam. But when I move it farther back to get a good webcam shot, it is not in a good spot to scanner items. I am not sure how it could be improved to be more of a jack of all trades. Maybe if the main support arm could rotate back as well as forward. Overall I am very happy with it. The quality of the scans is better then my flatbed scanner I had, and having the ability to adjust focus, and the lighting are really nice features.

It automatically powers on when connected to a computer, ready to be used as a webcam or for scanning documents on the go. With a 12MP camera and three light settings, it delivers impressive results. I compared the scans of the same document using both the CZUR Shine Pro and the CZUR Fancy S Pro 12MP USB Document Camera, and the results were very close. It also offers an auto-scan feature, making it a great addition for anyone needing a compact scanner, especially for researchers who frequently travel to libraries or courthouses. As a genealogist, this is the perfect travel companion for family reunions, libraries, or courthouses with limited space. Since it draws power from the laptop, there's no need for extension cords, reducing the risk of tripping. Overall, the CZUR Fancy S is a fantastic tool for anyone needing a portable and efficient document scanner.

Love this design, since I have 2 monitors side by side on my desk I can put this in front of the border & flip it up when I'm on a video call so I'm looking more or less at the camera. Here are my pros & cons: Pros: + clean design with flexible positioning + good resolution Cons: - CZUR software crashed twice within several minutes - Power light stays on whenever it's connected -- doesn't indicate when camera is active (power light is also facing away from camera) - No physical shutter - Software permits pan/zoom, but only when viewed in their software -- no apparent way to set appropriate zoom & framing for video call (previous Logitech webcam I used let you control pan/zoom/exposure as seen through all other software on device) - Light is very high color temperature -- fine for documents maybe, but people will look too blue - Camera not very sensitive, will be pretty grainy when subject lit normally or underlit (software exposure control range is limited) Sadly, may end up trying to mount someone else's camera on their stand, since I'm more interested in video call use than doc scanning/sharing.
