I was looking for a nice wooden box to keep my dad's old items I inherited when he passed. It was large enough to hold his sign in book from his funeral, plus hold a lot more stuff. I originally was looking for a box that had hinges and a latch, but all the reviews on the other boxes were bad. Especially about the hinges not being a good quality or locks failing. This one sits on top and is made properly to sit correctly This box is perfect, no hardware to fail and the lid fits well onto the box and it looks nice sitting on a shelf. I like the dovetail corners versus using screws. Overall, 5 star. Seems like a nice solid box and it holds a fair amount for its size

I’ve been looking for a stash box for a while now. Not having a lock is not an issue for me. Most were just too small in various dimensions to hold all my goodies. This box is basic, other than the lid serving as a work surface when flipped over, but well-built and looks good. I love the wood grain and knots on it. As I mentioned, the box is sturdy and serves the purpose I wanted to use it for. I’m very happy with the purchase and customer support follow-up. Now I have everything for my ‘stuff’ in one location instead of spread out in various locations and containers. I used the lid work surface for the first time the other day….One thing I’d like to see improved on is if they could add something to hold the lid in place when flipped over. This way one can have a stable work surface you won’t have to worry about sliding off the box if used on the box. But even without it, it worked just fine on my lap. Happy customer…definitely would recommend it if you are not looking for any extras or a lock.

Beautiful craftsmanship and strong dovetail construction. For storage of herbal oils and tinctures, just the right size for the amber glass bottles I have. If you’re looking for a small bamboo storage box I’d recommend buying from BL. I’d give more than Five Stars if I could.

Beautiful box. Well made. However, in order to see the correct dimensions, you have to read the item details. Summary states box is 12x 8x 5. Actual dimensions are 11” Long x 8” Long and 4.5”. This is stated in the item detail, which I only read after I realized the box was smaller than what I thought I ordered. Probably would not have ordered it at the actual size. Thought about returning it, but it is nice, and well made, so I will find a use for it.

"Blake & Lake Wooden Storage box with Lid" This is a great little box. I purchased it to keep angle guides and gauges, and other stuff for knife sharpening in the garage. Mine came just a little smaller than advertised at 11"x7 7/8x4 5/16. I think the packing that this box came in must have cost as much as the box itself. I thought I was just buying a box a little bigger but about the same as what boneless salted codfish come/came in. It didn't strike me that I was buying fine furniture 'til I saw all the packing. It is a good strong dovetail corner box and I'm happy to have found it. Will probably buy more.

First off I was totally in love as soon as I opened the box and looked inside. This is an absolute beautiful piece of art work. It is very roomy and can hold a ton of stuff including a few ounces with other stuff easy! I keep mine in my mini safe and it fits perfect! People might complain that there is just one big empty box but if you want compartments that bad boo-hoo you can make your own with cardboard or something stronger and divide sections. I highly recommend this product and think it would look beautiful in anyones room. Oh and the other cool, blow your mind, crazy thing is that you can flip the lid of the box over and its a rolling tray. WTF!!!! Please go buy it right now. Its not even expensive for the quality!

I ordered the Wooden Storage Box for Home - Large Wood Stash Box - Dark Brown Storage Box with lid while planning my father's memorial to use as the Remembrance piece for the ritual. He was a USNavy veteran, a Merchant Marine, a musician, chef, bartender, and very stylish as well as a charismatic presence! The box I chose is perfect to represent his classic style. But. The 1st box came with a crack along the bottom that reached about 1/3 of the way across. I thought, okay... It's a fluke, right? Re-ordered. The 2nd box came completely cracked end-to-end across the whole bottom. Like, you can see light through the crack as well as move the wood with very little effort. Needless to say, that one was returned the very next day. I was afraid to try again BUT the company, Blake & Lake reached out to me personally! Awesome response & customer service!! It is so refreshing to still find this type of personal care from companies & especially during this difficult time I'm having to walk through. Thank you Blake & Lake!

It’s a great sturdy box and just what I needed. Unfortunately the box lid was warped and wouldn’t lie flat. Emailed the manufacturer but there was no response. I ordered another one which was fine but it’s not the best customer service and I wouldn’t have ordered another one if it wasn’t the perfect size.

Exactly as expected a bit pricey but had cheaper ones in the past and this feels like its built to last
