Given the current price is under £400 this is an absolute no brainier, it's a fantastic phone that was over £1000 only a few years ago. For that money you will get flagship level: - Built quality (glass and aluminum) - Fantastic curved OLED screen with variable refresh rate - One of the fastest charging phones on the market, 30 mins from 0 to 100% and the power brick is included - If you purchase the correct wireless charger, 100w wireless charging too (you have to see it to believe it) - All round great camera system with genuinely useful zoom lens and fantastic night shots - Upgrade to Android 14 (and still regular monthly updates) Only minor downsides are: - Battery life is average but offset by amazingly fast charging speeds - Sometimes recording video stutters - MagicOS nagging about apps draining battery

Bought it 2 weeks ago, a really great device, easy to setup and use. I love the camera and photography, it will give you wonderful pictures surprise you with just a simple shot. With this phone you don't need to be a professional photographer. The screen quality is very good and the speed the phone loads at is brilliant. The fingerprint sensor on the front of the phone is also fast to read your fingerprint and unlock your phone. The 100W supercharger is like nothing I have seen before, superfast charging before your eyes so no more waiting forever for your phone to charge. An all round fantastic phone and one I certainly recommend!

The phones spec is incredible compared to other flagships. The phone is quick, battery life is excellent (I'm getting a day and a half easy even with heavy use), the phone charges back up quickly,cameras are brilliant with unique features. The screen is incredible , very clear and vibrant. If you've been wanting a Huawei device with Google services, Honor has you covered. I can100% recommend this phone.

Pros: - 8 Gen 1 Processor is amazingly fast in almost everything you do with it. - Great FHD+ OLED screen. 120Hz refresh rate makes everything look smooth. - Great rear camera 64MP main sensor and even the wide angle is 50MP. with 4K 60fps video recording and LOG format video support means you can add your own colour correction with a video editor. - 100W fast charging and the charger is included in the box. The fact there's also 100W wireless charging it's crazy fast and something no other phone offers that I know of. - The 3.5x optical zoom is good (2nd picture) and the 100x digital zoom is more of a gimmick but it does actually work well as seen in the photo I attached. Neutral: - 4600MAh battery, it's a good size battery that lasts a long time but I wish it was slightly more. Anyways I'm getting about 5-6 hours screen on time on average sometimes 7 hours+ not even on a full charge so really it's just a nitpick especially with the insane charging speed. - Camera doesn't seem to be optimized well in other apps but usually an app devs fault not always down to the phone but listing it here because especially if you're coming from even the oldest of iPhones you'll realise it quickly. Cons: - Front camera is decent enough but colours can usually end up being washed out or over-exposed. - Software issue where it will stutter or lag when playing videos on certain apps. Seems to be something with the refresh rate settings. Setting to dynamic will clear this up but why does this happen in the first place? - Auto focus is slow on the cameras - Microphone is "backwards" - sounds like a weird complaint I know but when you're on a call it uses the microphone on the top of the phone rather than the bottom so if you're on speaker sometimes you'll end up being quieter on a call probably a nitpick but had multiple people say I was quieter when calling them Additional Thoughts: - Coming from an iPhone (albeit an older one) magic OS is probably the closest iOS-like experience you can get on an Android. It is smooth on MagicOS 7.1 but I do wish they ironed out the bugs and it would honestly be a perfect Android at this price point. - Since it's an older flagship phone it will have the newest Magic OS 8 update (Android 14) but I've seen other reviews that updating to this could introduce bugs on this phone so I held off on updating but I'll try it soon and update the review. - In conclusion, this is a great phone and for this price you won't be disappointed with what you get. Software does have some bugs but is a relatively good experience when using Magic OS 7.1, yet to try the newest update but overall I do like this phone.

Love this phone fast and does everything it should. Easy too navigate, screen nice quality and sharp . Lot's of options on the camera's. Very happy with the purchase.

Edit of my initial review after a year of ownership. Superb phone which is doomed by its software. Honor OS is behind the competition. Moreover the update to Android 14 killed the camera department. And the camera department then kills the phone, slow and cumbersome. It may take a couple of minutes for the phone to simply react while you want to take a photo. And at the end the photo is not even recorded. This occurs under sunlight even though the phone is not hot, temperate is below 40 degrees. The worst phone experience I ever had. What a shame Honor for a phone that was great with Android 13. Amazing performance, top cameras and amazing photos, outstanding display, ultra bright under sunlight and so crisp and clear in any lighting conditions, plenty of storage space, really nothing missing. Everything on this phone is on the top!
