I only used them one time and got a couple of other tools that I used my feet to drive into the ground. Same principle but they were a lot easier to use.The principle of creating holes to aerate the lawn is effective so they are not a total waste of money. You will probably only use then once and go buy something else that does the same thing and is less awkward to use. You have to aerate your lawn every 1 or 2 years to maintain it properly or before you plant new grass seed. The water and plant food has to penetrate to where the roots are.

I bought this in hopes to help my lawn. The straps were already used and muddy when it arrived. I decided to still try them and they broke writhing the first use

Purchased these and was so excited! Took one step, and the straps loosened on my first step ... spikes stayed in the ground. Cheaply made and comes with NO instructions.
