DP6971 Reversible Privacy Door Handle on Rose Set with Adjustable Latch, Satin Nickel

Well made and good price. Reasonably easy to fit by a competent DIYer. I got these as a replacement for standard rose handles which had a smaller hole in the door. Referencing a previous comment regarding the difficulty of stopping the hole saw sliding around when drilling a larger hole. I made a jig from a rectanglular piece of 12mm plywood by drilling a 54mm hole with the hole saw, clamped this to the door and used it to hold the holesaw in place.

It is bad. The handle is fiddly on the locking side, lock jams constantly and if you have kids they will have problems unlocking it. Buy a more expensive equivalent or you will buy twice, like i did. I don't often leave reviews and hate to leave negative ones but I wanted to let others know that this product is crap.

These handles were a good price. They are easy to fit once you have done one as existing holes needed some adjustments. They work well and look good.

Although they do look brilliant and when they work, they are really good. They do have a pretty cheap feel to them. This is more apparent on the 'Entrance' latch handles, which rattle a bit and feel poorly made. I bought 2 of the handles with 'Entrance' latch, one with the 'Privacy' latch and 4 with 'Passage' latch. Both the 'Entrance' latches still work but are pretty dodgy to get right, and often don't lock properly. Two of the keys have already bent, perhaps due to the use of cheap metal? The 'Privacy' handle locks perfectly fine but about 50% of the time can only be unlocked from outside using the 'emergency release slot'. I have not yet attempted to make use of the '5 year manufacturer mechanical guarantee' with the 'Entrance' and 'Privacy' handles but the 'Passage' handles appear to work as expected.

I saw the other reviews but decided to risk it as it was the only privacy lock that matches our other handles. However.. it is poor quality and one of the handles really wobbles despite being attached correctly. Installation was far more difficult than a normal handle as you need a 54mm hole in the door to slot the main bulk of the handle into. Will replace with a proper door lock when I can be bothered to tackle it again..

The product is good. Perfect for my door.

Another one that has broken. We first purchased these for all our doors about 8 years ago and for each door handle set every single one for privacy and passage versions has had the metal fracture where it clicks into place inside the mechanism. I advise to stay away as they are not good quality and are expensive.

Very easy to assemble and great value for money.
