Great Portable Training Option!
I keep this in my to-go dog bag and really enjoy it. I have taught my dog to "touch" the tip of the extended stick with his nose, it helps to reset him if he gets overwhelmed. We also like using it for downtimes in class - some classes we've taken (agility) only allow one dog working at a time, so we play with this while we're waiting. The clicker works great too!

Perfect for my cats
Nice satisfying click that is definitely not too loud for cats. My boys are 6.5 months old and the first thing I’m teaching them is to boop the end of the stick with their nose with the command “Boop!” They picked up the Boop very quickly (by day 2) and I’m so excited to teach them more commands based on the Boop with this clicker.

Using it with my cats - works well, not too loud, wish it came in a small size
The pandemic has been a time of change for us all. My big entertainment has been figuring out if my cats are trainable. Spoiler alert: They are. This clicker was recommended as a good one for cats, it's not as loud as some, very sturdy (our cats have already tried to gnaw on it because when the clicker comes out, so do the treats, ergo the clicker must be full of treats). I love that it's extendible. Our cats actually pay more attention to the little ball at the end of the extended stick than to my hand gestures. Given the number of times I've shaken my finger at them, no wonder. Anyway, the only thing I wish is that this was smaller. It's so large it sticks out of my hand, and I'd rather the cats not focus on it as a visual, that they listen to the click and watch my other hand. Nothing I didn't know before I bought it - not a reason for docking it a star, it's user incompetence and small hands, not the clicker's fault - but Karen Pryor, if you're reading this, I'd love to buy a more compact version. For anyone wondering: Yes, the cats are trainable. They know high five, over, up, sit, here, and circle. However, being cats, or maybe being our spoiled cats, they will only do these actions when it suits them, and when heavily fortified by treats.

Awesome training tool
Bought it to clicker train my cat. The little green ball on the end makes it easy for him to follow & the click sound is very audible, not too loud but he can definitely hear it. Recommend using a gentle touch when you pull out the telescoping stick. It can be a little “sticky” & if you use too much pressure or pull too hard I feel it might come apart. Mine has not done that yet, but I think I could . Just use a little TLC. I’m pleased with this training tool.

I got this Clik Stik as a much needed gift and have loved it since day one
I am a photographer, and my dog is my #1 subject for photographs. I always wanted to be able to pose him on objects, but it's very difficult when working with a camera and cookies in hand to also be able to guide him onto objects. I got this Clik Stik as a much needed gift and have loved it since day one! My dog picked up on it very quickly and now he gets excited every time he sees me pick it up. It makes him more excited for our photo sessions, and it makes photo sessions easier.I find the product to be sturdy. My dog runs into it full blast when he's really excited and it has held up very well. I've left it outside in the rain, stepped on it, and have been rather careless with it in many ways and it still works like it did the first day I got it. The click is loud enough, the stick is long enough for my needs, and my only concern is wondering why I didn't purchase this product sooner!Highly recommended for anyone looking for a fun way to bond with their dog and get them to do some new tricks. In addition to getting him onto objects, my dog has also learned to go under objects, has learned several tricks, and is much better with recall! As soon as he sees it he's to me in a flash.

I like the target ball a lot. Good loud click.
I have had lots of target balls - the stick always breaks. This fits nicely in my training bag. Good loud click. I'm not much of a clicker user, but this would work well. My son just likes playing with it. Dogs like the small target - it makes it very precise.

Delightful
This is the second time I have purchased this product. The first time was two years ago, and I cannot begin to describe the joy this has brought to our family. We use it just for fun, having our dogs jump high and "touch" for a click reward and a treat. The dogs love it and come running whenever we pull it out. One of our dogs (a rescue) was wild and crazy when we first got her, full of pent-up energy. This has been a simple, delightful way to give her attention and get out some of her excess energy. She needs predictability to feel secure, and playing "touch" has become one of her favorite routines. If a dog can look happy, she certainly does. Our two boys have done most of the training with this, and it's so rewarding and easy that they love doing it.Our first of these target sticks eventually broke after two years of hard use (the telescoping metal broke off at one of the joints), but we easily got more than out money's worth out of it and I had no problem spending the money on a replacement.

Very Loud Click
I love the idea of this product, but the click is very, very loud. I opened it up in an attempt to find a way to muffle the click, but the whole thing is very tightly engineered and there’s not much meddling you can do. The click is uncomfortably loud for me, and our pets have hearing many times more sensitive than ours, so I can only imagine how unpleasant it is for them. Will keep looking for a quieter clicker.
