Excellent Replacement for My 17-Year-Old Panasonic Phones
I recently replaced my 17-year-old Panasonic cordless phone system with the Panasonic KX-TGF975B, and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. The setup was straightforward, and the sound quality is excellent—clearer than my old phones ever were. I especially like having five handsets, which makes it easy to have a phone wherever I need one in the house. One of my favorite features is the advanced call blocking. With so many spam and robocalls these days, it's great to have a phone that helps filter out unwanted calls. The answering machine, Bluetooth Link2Cell feature, and scam alert functions are all thoughtful additions that make this system feel modern and convenient. After using Panasonic cordless phones for 17 years, I had high expectations, and this new system has exceeded them. If you're looking to replace an older cordless phone system or simply want a dependable home phone with excellent features, I highly recommend this model.

Outstanding performance
The landline phone system we had in our home worked fine however the problem was that we were constantly bombarded each day with Robo Calls and all kinds advertising and junk spam phone call that were just never ending and very annoying to say the least. I did quite a bit of research on Amazon on the new generation of phones that included anti spam technology and ultimately decided up this Panasonic phone system after going through all the product reviews. I also liked the fact that it was made by Panasonic. The phone system I was replacing was also Panasonic and had served us well for many years so I have faith in the brand. Setup and installation of the system was straight forward and easy enough and within 30 minutes I had the system up and running and set up. I did have to read the instructions in order to set up my preferred preferences (voice message, ring volume, spam settings, etc) but I found the instructions very clear and easy to follow. This phone allows you to sync it with your cellular phones, which is a really nice option, but I have no interest in this feature at the present time so I didn't bother with that, however I did read the instructions on how to do it and it didn't appear to be to complicated. I may utilize the cell phone feature later.. I found the system to be visually attractive and of quality construction and the best part of all is that from the minute I activated the system the spam phone calls immediately stopped. It was like a miracle We would receive no less that a dozen such annoying spam phone calls each day, sometimes two dozen. It's been 2 days now and we have not received even 1 such annoying call. My wife and I are thrilled to say the least and if a spam call does slip through somehow all we have to do is simply press the "Block" call button and the phone and that number will never be able to call us again. The system comes pre-programmed with an internal list of known spam callers and you can add your own numbers to that list if you need to simply by hitting the "Block" button. Doesn't get any easier than that. This is really a great system, I love it. Its spam blocking technology really works well and the amount of other features that the phone has is amazing. If you're looking to replace your older phone system in order to avoid those annoying spam calls just order this system.... you will be very happy you did.

Very Nice Phone...
This review is for a Panasonic: KX-TGF944B My old Panasonic phone was becoming just that-- and old Panasonic phone, so after ten years of using the old phone, I started looking for a replacement phone. I had expected to see phones that would read my contact list from my cell, link to my cell for calling, etc., but, nope... I was getting tired of the spam callers, so this phone looked interesting, as it appeared to offer options for removing, and identifying callers before telephone pickup, based on caller ID. Pros: Looks like it will deal with spammers quickly. Nice range. Much like all other Panasonic phones. Battery life is good. Charger base is small and fits on desk well, while holding the phone securely. Base unit is smaller than my last Panasonic phone. During power fails, the phone system will run on the battery in the phone seated in the base unit. Uses AAA batteries, so I can replace them when needed, or if I want higher amp hour ratings for them. There is a feature called one ring delay, in which the phone suppresses the first ring to the audible ringer, until Caller ID data is captured, thus, if it is a known spammer, the phone never triggers the local ringer, so I don't even hear a ring! The spammer gets a "special", message, and I never even know it... Selectable ringtones. Groups to put your contact phone numbers in, that can be renamed if need be. I.E. Friends, family, businesses, etc. Cons: The charger cables are not plugin on the charger side, they are wired in place. The phone does not do CELL Linking, like my previous Panasonic phone did. The directory has to be input manually, (via the phone handset, or from CALLER ID info), and it does not appear to be able to read from a file, the net, bluetooth, or my cell phone. I have no idea if the 14,000 numbers from known spammers they put in are ever updated, or how I might force an update if possible. Ringtones are limited, and I have found no way to upload new tones. The instructions are clear, and understandable, but there are hundreds of options for this phone, it is a bit of a slog to get through the setup process, but that happens only once usually. Overall: I like the phone, it makes short work of spammers! When a number comes in I don't know, I hit a button on the handset, and the phone asks for them to state their name. If I don't know them, I hit the, take a hike button, and they go away, and are added to the blocked list. The phone behaves like a phone should, the phone also has an audio equalizer in it, which helps taylor the sound to my liking. The first unit I got did not have a power supply in it for the base unit. I returned it, and got a replacement cross shipped with no hassle. The replacement had all the parts, and has worked flawlessly for several weeks now. I am partial to Panasonic phones, as I have had one for the past 10 years. I hope this one lasts as long. Construction is as solid as my previous phone, so I expect it will last as long... Only time will tell... The cost is low for what it does... If I had to pick again I would pick this phone, unless Panasonic ever added CELL connectivity, to this model, then I'd get that one. 08/02/2024: Almost a year has passed from the time I purchased this phone. It is still working, and I get almost no spam calls anymore... Could not be happier with it!

Buy, you’ll never regret it
I am not one write a lot of reviews. I buy a lot of stuff however I was checking with my phone phone provider hoping I could pay extra money for them to block the spam and she said we have no magic one so I’m on it with AI trying to figure out, is there a solution here without just canceling my line which I was ready to do but business line service service service that’s the story anyhow AI said that this particular phone company has these blocks. It was the number one and blocking calls bottom line I would get 12 to 15 calls a day spam Robo and whoever I’ve had this system at a very reasonable price install for two weeks. I have got zero unwanted calls thank you so much. Keep up the good work boys. I appreciate it.

Reliable Landline Phone With Useful Modern Features
This cordless phone system feels like a nice upgrade from basic home phones. The call quality is clear, and it’s easy to move around the house without losing connection. The answering machine feature works as expected and is simple to check and manage. I also like the advanced call blocking since it helps cut down on unwanted calls, which is a big plus. The Link2Cell Bluetooth feature is one of the more useful parts. Being able to connect a cell phone and handle calls through the cordless handset makes things more convenient, especially when I don’t want to rely only on a mobile device. The buttons and display are easy to read and use without much learning curve. Overall, it feels dependable and practical, especially if you still use a home phone and want some modern features added in.

Flaw in the answering machine's LEDs (Model KX-TGF975B)
I purchased the Panasonic Cordless Phone System (Model KX-TGF975B) last fall, having always trusted Panasonic phones in the past. Unfortunately, after just a few days, both the answer on/off LED and the message indicator light stayed constantly lit, even when the answering machine was off and no messages were recorded. I initiated a warranty claim through Panasonics website right after Christmas, sending the 1st defective unit back (at my expense). The Warranty claims center sent me a second unit. Unfortunately, the same problem occurred a few days after I starting using the unit. So, I sent back a this 2nd unit (I had them send me a shipping label) and, wouldn't you know it, the same problem existed on this 3rd unit. I, again, emailed their Warranty claim center asking them to please test any unit they send to me before sending it so that we are sure that it works and requested another shipping label. They responded, "Hello, Please call technical support on this at 1 800 *** 7262 as these units you received are perfectly working items. Thanks Thank you, Panasonic Consumer Product Support". Well, this was quite rude and it insinuated that I was doing something to break the unit to somehow make two led lights stay on. I don't even know how I would go about doing that. I made a video of the problem and called the number. The technician I spoke with said they weren't setup to test or repair the phones. He gave me a number to call Panasonic Support directly (apparently they were just a Florida-based warranty facilitators). No apology for the rudeness. I called Panasonic and spoke to two people. The second person said that they couldn't help but to call 1 800 *** 7262 for help. That was the company in Florida who had just given me Panasonic's support number! Good grief. So, I sent back the 3rd unit (at my expense) and two weeks later received a 4th unit (it's now the end of February 2026). Again, same problem. This is a a $200 phone system that can't get the most basic indicators working correctly and chooses to use a warranty company that doesn't fix or even test or acknowledge issues with their devices. The warranty service was fast but completely ineffective. I've attached a video showing the Answer On/Off light staying on. The message light (triangle under the play button) isn't on before this video was recorded but comes on permanently within hours/days of the first light staying on. It's a shame that I cannot recommend this phone system as I've used Panasonic phones my entire adult life. It’s far too expensive to have this unfixable inherent design flaw. I’ve attached videos so you can see for yourself. Save your money and look elsewhere.

Good Phone--Some Problems/Annoyances
I would like to give this phone a "3+" star rating if I could. The phone itself has many nice features included but it also has some "issues" you will have to deal with. It is easy to set up and looks good on a desk in an office. Be aware that the manual that comes with it IS NOT complete. It does not offer all the information you need about the phone. If you want the REAL instruction/set-up manual go to the Panasonic help site and they will give you a free extensive instruction manual. This is the complete manual that really is helpful. The screens are bright and easy to see as well as the numbers. The buttons all "work" well with soft touch features. One BIG PROBLEM is that the phone WILL ring out of sequence with your other phones you have in your home. I did ALL of the troubleshooting offered by Panasonic to no avail to correct this problem. Also, I contacted my telephone service provider and they told me that some phones like these have this issue and really nothing could be done to correct it (the phone company did check all my service and lines and found everything in working order on their "end"). The speaker on the base unit works well but voices sound sort on "tin-like" and there is no way to adjust the tone of the speaker; so this is another issue you might just have to live with. I did call friends and ask them how I sounded from my end and they all told me I sounded fine. If you can "live with" the out of sequence ringing this phone should work well for you. I decided to keep the phone because of the other features and because I have purchased Panasonic phones for many years and they overall work quite well.
