Amour Crochet Hook, Metal, Blue, 4.5 mm

I have been crocheting for years and just bought cheap crochet hooks, recently I was recommended to try Armour crochet hooks and WHAT A DIFFERENCE. They are amazing and have improved my work greatly, no more stitches falling off the ends and tension consistent. They are more expensive but SO WORTH IT. I cannot recommend them highly enough

I bought my first Clover Amour hooks from Amazon when I'd been crocheting about a year. I'm not an impulse purchaser, especially not for something that is relatively pricey, so I'd done my research thoroughly and I literally could not find a negative review or experience about these hooks. I bought the set and it was one of the best decisions I made. They have a shorter, shaped and rounded handle than some (about 4"/10cm) but I find that it sits comfortably in my hand and my thumb automatically falls onto the flat thumb grip (I have a knife hold). The handle is of a non-slip material with an imperceptible "give" so that even if you grip the hook hard there is cushioning for the joints in your hand. The hook part is very smooth and easy to use - I'm a tight crocheter but the gently pointed top of the hook is easy to insert into my stitches. The overall length is about 51/2"/14cm. Buying these hooks was a game-changer for me, in fact I'm so used to them that I struggle to use any other hooks, even other ergonomic ones that look similar. So when I mislaid my 3.5mm I replaced it without a second thought. I use DK yarn and find that I tend to use the 3.5mm, 4mm and 4.5mm most of all depending on the particular yarn/stitch combo in my project. Typically, my errant hook turned up a few days later so I now have a spare, just in case!

Got into Crocheting and bought just bought cheap and cheerful set to get me started and also no waste money if I didn't stick it. Over a year on thought I'd more than earned buying some nice hooks but have become familiar what sizes I usually use. HOLY MOLY THE DIFFERENCE, they're smooth and light and the rubber feels so nice compared to my cheap ones, the metal part of the hook has a smooth, almost pearlescent, finish and it feels so nice against yarn. The handle, besides having a really nice rubber, has a nice little thumb rest and it just feels so nice in your hands. I'd say the only thing I've noticed is if you have a tendency to roll the hook to catch your yarn like me it does feel more of a counterintuitive design but honestly speaking you really don't notice it after a while and is by no means a reason to discourage people from buying them. If anything I'd say the only thing I'd say to consider if you are looking to but them is if you prefer heavier hooks as these are pleasantly light but not that cheap plasticy light you find with cheap hooks, it's so hard to explain! Most certainly going to slowly add more and more of these to my set as time goes on, the full set is pricy if you don't utilise all sizes but as far as quality and experience using them goes, you definitely get what you pay for!

Perfect! I bought this to replace another, worn out one from the same brand and it's just as good as the last one. Very comfortable to hold and crochet with.

Excellent light weight perfect grip crochet hook. I have started to develop sore wrist for crocheting and Clover is a game changer. The material of the hook also enabled my yarn slide through without hassle. I do not use expensive yarn but supermarket bought ones and I already spot the differences. I have also bought the other Japan made brand of the same size to test which one suits me better. I prefer Clover in the end, the grip suits my hands. I will buy the complete set when there is a discount.

Amei a minha compra. A agulha de crochê é sensacional. Pra mim que faz crochê por horas achei a agulha bem adequada e confortável. Comprarei outras numerações. Uma pena ser tão cara pois gostaria de ter todas as numerações.
