Well made, padding is firm and comfortable, it fit well using the sizing instructions, Velcro holds exceptionally well and the brace is solidly built. This brace has been a game changer for my left knee. I tore my meniscus and had partial ACL/MCL tears in 2009 followed by surgery. 14 years later, I’m paying the price and need extra support at the gym and while running around. I’ve been getting cortisone shots and my left knee just keeps getting worse. When this brace arrived, I decided to lash it on tight and rehab the knee with various cable and free weight machines. My knee could not hurt any more, I had nothing to lose. Within 4 weeks, I went from a leg press weight of 60 pounds to 240 pounds and 80% of my knee pain is gone and strength is improving with each workout. I was a Donjoy user for a long time but their Velcro is poor and their braces are confusing and overpriced. This brand is better made, more comfortable and lower priced. The only addition that would make this brace perfect would be if it included an under sleeve that goes between the skin and this brace. That’s an ala carte purchase with this brace. Overall, this brace works great and helps me during the day. I’m hoping it can help me delay a knee replacement. Wishful thinking on my part. Hope that helps!

The brace seems well made but beware when ordering size. The brace runs real small. I ordered a Small being my Thigh measured 171/2 & calf 141/2. When i received brace I had to struggle to get it on my leg being it is a pull up type of brace (yes all the straps were loose), it was so tight it was cutting into my leg especially the calf . It was even harder to take it off. I returned it & ordered the Medium hoping it wasn't going to be too big. Well I received the Medium brace today & still had to really struggle to get brace up my leg. The chart says the size for Medium is 18.1-18.9 for thigh & 16.3-17.3 for calf so it shouldn't have been this tight. It stays up without even fastening any of the straps that is how snug it is. The plus side is It feels like it gives my knee more support than my old Dr. Brace knee support I've been using. Updated to 5 stars because of notifying customer service about Med. still being a little tight & the company is sending me a Large free of charge. Just remember if you are close to high side of measurement chart to order the next size up.

This felt like a high quality knee brace. It seemed well constructed. The hinges moved smoothly, and it did offer support. Unfortunately, for my injury, I couldn't use a pull on brace and need a wrap around type so I had to return it. It was very very tough for me to get on, needing to pull at the hole for the kneecap, and not because of snug fit, but because of lack of anything to hold on to when pulling it up, and with my particular injury making it so I can't bend at the knee. Notes about fit: all knee braces loosen with use so it should be very snug when you first get it-not cutting off circulation, but a little tighter than you will eventually want. Pros: -Quality construction -Smooth hinges -Thick material, but not bulky behind the knee -X Straps gave great support -Comfortable padding around kneecap, seemed cooling. Cons: -Pull on sleeve means if you have pain on bending the knee it's hard to put on. -Hinge pinched at upper thigh a little. I think this would have loosened up with the wear in of the brace. -For my body: firmly snug at thigh as it should be, loose and a little baggy around the knee, barely snug at calf: straps control above and below knee but not at actual knee area. -Velcro on straps seemed like it would lose stick over time but without actual use this is just a projection -No pull on tabs to help get it on. -Bulky brace, wont fit under jeans for all day wear and too tight to go over jeans. Definitely more for active people and not as much for acute injury recovery. Overall: if the fit it right and if you can pull on the brace you will likely find it helpful. It did offer support and stabilization of the area, even with poor fit. I likely would have kept it if I could bend at the knee to get it on easier.

Strained my left knee and my normal compression type sleeve support wasn't cutting it. I ordered this and was happy to get it later that night. I used it the next day at work, 12 hour shift with a lot of walking and going up and down stairs. Although maybe a tad bulky i don't see any way to streamline it without losing features or support. I'm actually wearing it now and overall its pretty decent. I'm walking better instead of compensating and irritating my back. As far as build quality, everything looks well stitched, the hardware is doing its job. The velcro and straps are good thus far. I'm 5'8" and 275ish so i got the xxxl per sizing chart, perfect fit! I can wear this all day at work and don't need to adjust it at all. I do wish it had some silicone type grippy stuff at the inner top of the sleeve, but the straps do a decent enough job to keep it in place. Maybe a little bulky for some, but this brace gives plenty of support and with it comes confidence of movement without straining your knee even more. Price is on point for product and quality is great. Highly recommended.

I purchased this because it was cheaper than the brace I've used for the last decade, and looked to be more durable due to different design with the hinges. I ultimately returned it, because it did not work for me. It felt like a high quality brace, however. I took the required measurement of 6 inches above my knee to determine what size brace I needed. Unfortunately, it was too tight on my calf and too loose on my thigh, even when adjusting the x-straps. The x-straps are interesting, in that you can adjust how tight or loose you need it, even finer than with the main straps. I think the x-straps would've been better if there was more velcro covering them, so you could really tighten or loosen in a wider range. Also, the hinges were very stiff. I tried mimicking the motion of it bending while walking, while I was holding it, and it did not seem to be fit to run in. I'm sure after using it for a bit, it would've "broken in" some and had been less stiff. Long ago, I was told by someone who sold medical braces that it should feel good when you put it on. The brace I've used for the last 10 years feels good when I put it on. This one, however, only felt good when I was sitting. Probably because it felt like it was cutting off circulation at my calf. Overall: Gave this 3 stars because the sizing did not work, and it was unable to adjust to comfortably fit my probably strange shaped leg. I've used a variety of braces for different joints (I'm falling apart!), from different companies and this brace was one of the higher quality ones I've tried out. I do like that they accept returns, as some other companies will not let you return "medical equipment".

This an excellent knee brace I highly recommend this unit

both my knees are shot and surgery isn't an option at this time. i had used similar supports in the past but misplaced one of them. since my knees are worse now i thought based on the product description these might be more effective. first off if you get these it's better to go a bit larger than smaller for sizing. it's difficult to see in person but one end has a slightly larger diameter than the other end. the bigger sized end fits above the knee, goes on top so to speak. they fit well and are comfortable considering what they do. the only thing I've difficulty with is bending low, say to pick up things at floor level. they provide good lateral support, which is precisely what i needed from them. the metal hinges as such function as hoped for. the only negatives are for one, i cannot wear mine with pants only shorts. secondly if doing anything for example mowing the grass, and you sweat? they act like sponges and get surprisingly wet. yesterday i wore them with shorts on while doing yard work. after i had to lay them out overnight to dry before putting them back on. aside from the two minor issues i am happy with how these have worked out for me. i would probably get them again if say i lost one again. that said the ones i had before these also had metal hinges/slats but cost less than half what these did. while these are a bit better imho than those, whether or not the additional $30 each is worth depends on the individual making the purchase & their needs and or budget restrictions.

Very solid brace, once I got it. I had 2 delays in the delivery. Design allows a couple ways to reinforce the knee & the kneecap. I especially like the gel kneecap stabilizer that doesn't compress the kneecap causing pain. I read there were sizing problems in other reviews, but hoped for the best. Make sure you measure right & be advised, it runs a little large. I normally take a medium & my measurement was close. I should've gone with a small. So keep in mind, it runs a little large. If you get the right size, it will work great for you!
