ShanWan Mobile Game Controller for iphone/Android with PHONE CASE Support, Bluetooth Wireless Gamepad - PS Remote Play, Xbox Cloud, Steam Link, GeForce NOW, MFi Arcade Games-Long Battery Life

I consider myself a casual gamer. I enjoy playing games but I don't put more emphasis on frame rates and hardware than I do on the game play itself. However, that being said, I think this controller is just awesome! After several weeks and many hours of using it, it has worked perfectly every time! It makes me feel like I have a dedicated console when using my phone. But it's better than a console since I can still use my phone for what I typically use my phone for. This controller is marketed as being designed for an iPhone but I have never used it for that. I only have an android phone and I have been able to use it with my android phone with no problems. So, what's good? I have successfully used this controller with various android games (just be aware that not every android games supports controllers but the ones that do, this one has worked every time). Besides that, I have used it with Xbox Game Pass, Nvidia GeForce Now, and SteamLink. I have also used it as a regular controller by pairing it up to my Chromebook (without my phone in the controller holder, obviously) to play those same things and by pairing to my computer via Bluetooth to play various games I own on Steam. It's worked great at everything I've thrown at it, no issues. The Bluetooth name for the controller is "Xbox Wireless Controller". I would assume that all the systems recognize it as an official Xbox controller and that it uses the Xbox controller drivers but I have not reviewed to confirm that since I haven't had any issues, it just works. I like that the buttons are backlit so that I can play in the dark if I want to. It charges with a USB-c cable which is perfect since that is what my phone and Chromebook use as well (I like not having to use so many different cables). The battery life is great. I don't know how many hours I got before I needed a charge but it is advertised as having 25+ hours of battery life and that seems pretty accurate. So, what could be better? The controller is very lightweight. It almost feels a little too light. It would have a more premium feel if it was a bit heaver. But, when used with my phone, the added weight of my phone makes the whole thing feel solid. So, it's fine. The backlit keys can be a little bright at night. So, it would be nice if it was possible to dim those a bit when I wanted to. The controller covers the charging port for my phone when in use. So, if the battery is low on my phone, I can't charge my phone and use this controller at the same time. That's really not a problem since my phone has plenty of battery life and my phone has fast charging capability. But it would be pretty cool if there was some sort of pass-through charging that the controller could do (the best kind in my opinion would be some sort of wireless QI charging so you didn't have to worry about types and locations of connections for various types of phones). It would be nice if the gamepad had vibration feedback (or rumble motors) but that would diminish the battery life and none of the other gamepads I use have that feature, so it’s not a big deal for me. Overall, I’d give this controller a 5/5 score. It’s awesome! There are a few things that could be better and you can find some of those features in more expensive game pads. But those aren’t super important factors for me.

I’m a techy dad, but my gaming days are behind me. I did grab this for the kiddos. The controller pairs and works well with IOS or android. I tried it in an iPhone, Moto phone and Samsung tablet. I issues on any of the devices. In theory, it just a Bluetooth controller and should work with any device that can use a Bluetooth controller, like laptops, etc. Initial connection was fast and easy. Reconnection was automatic. No delay in gaming experience. Battery life is good. We’re the type to charge when done using so it hasn’t run out on anyone yet. Build quality seems good. It feels light, but help up to light stress testing. It’s not string, but should hold up fine unless you really treat it bad. No drift in the joysticks either. I did have some issues with button alignment for certain games, but it was easy enough to program. Kids like it too as it makes playing games easier. Overall happy with this purchase.

The ShanWan Bluetooth Mobile Game Controller has worked exactly as advertised. From it's construction to it's ease of use, this mobile controller has yet to let me down. The build quality and functionality is on par for it's expected use and price point. It is light weight, very responsive, ergonomic enough for longer gaming sessions and batter life to match. All opinions of this device are with the use of an iPhone 14 Plus. There are, of course, pros and cons to this device. The light weight construction of this controller mitigates fatigue felt in wrists or hands when used in longer sessions, it is more susceptible to damage. The slider that allows it's extension being a weak point on this controller, affecting the confidence I have in it's longevity. Though, for those who may not travel much with it may have longer expectancy with it. The ergonomics will get you through those longer sessions but I have noticed fatigue over time with how I need to support the controller in my hands. Aside from the "downsides", the controller pairs quickly and connects again and again without issue. All inputs feel solid and have been precise in practice, I don't believe the triggers are analog but I have not been in a situation that requires a varying value input. AND as a bonus, I wasn't expecting the addition of right-angle Thunderbolt and USB-C dongles , allowing you to charge your mobile device while using. This product is marked as a "Frequently returned item" which deterred me at first when looking for an affordable mobile gaming controller, but after using it daily for the past 3 weeks I am confident in it's build quality and longevity. This is a great purchase for those who are looking for an inexpensive addition to their mobile gaming accessories or an entry level controller if you are unsure what you are looking for within this category.

I’m pretty new to using controllers on my phone, but I love this controller. It makes my phone like a switch and it works really well I love where the control joy six are set up. It’s a lot more comfortable on my phones. The only issue I have is I can’t figure out that big middle button like when you play fallout four that takes you out of first and third person mode I cannot figure out what button is supposed to replace that on there but it’s a great product and I love it. Owen has a great battery life too.

I like this controller! I've been using my phone for many different games and some of the games are very hard to play without a controller. This turns your phone into basically a controller. The app is simple to install and it works very well. I use it on Minecraft with my iphone 13 The quality is great it feels good not too big not too small and the controls are right where you need them to easily maneuver as needed

First the good: * The controller fits very well on my iPhone 14 Pro with a fairly bulky OtterBox case. Most other wraparound controllers won't work with a anything but the skinniest case. * The controls feel very nice, and playing games with it is great. * It feels like a decent quality controller overall. There was one flaw which ultimately made me return it though. Every time I powered the controller on, it would re-enter pairing mode. What's more, I couldn't even just re-select it from the bluetooth device list and have it reconnect, because I'd get an error message on the phone saying it couldn't connect. I'd have to tell the phone to forget the device, and then re-pair it as a new device before it would re-connect. Then it would work nicely as before. I returned the first device I got and exchanged it for another of the same devices, and it had the same problem. I ended up returning the second one and getting a different controller. I made sure I wasn't doing anything to inadvertently reset the device or put it in pairing mode. I tried shutting it down by holding the power button for 5 seconds as the manual recommends, and also by just letting the device timeout. For turning it back on, I would just push the power button and immediately let it go, which should not put it in pairing mode. But no matter what I did, it would always power up back in pairing mode even if it had been connected to the phone when it shut down.

Been using this almost daily for a few weeks now. This is my first experience using a cradle-style mobile controller. Previously I've used an Xbox controller with one of those clamps attached to it, and I have to say that this Shanwan is much better. All of the buttons, triggers, and sticks are perfectly responsive with no delay or drift. The thing must've come fully charged because I hadn't needed to charge it all until today, weeks after purchase. I use it to play GTA Liberty City Stories and Ara Fell, a 16-bit JRPG, and the functionality is flawless. Pairing with my iphone 16 was fast and effortless. I don't know how it compares to something like a Backbone but with four mappable rear buttons it's got a leg up over that product for sure. The ONLY reason I'm giving it a four instead of a five is because the menu buttons and pair button are set flush against the shell, and there's almost no tactile or audible feedback to pressing them. I have to look to make sure I'm pressing the right button. There's also no headphone jack, obviously, since the controller doesn't physically connect to your phone. For something that's a third of the price of a Backbone and comes with extra buttons it's a solid choice overall and I strongly recommend i!

Die Bluetooth-Verbindung funktionierte einwandfrei und ich konnte schnell in meine Spiele eintauchen, ohne durch Kabel behindert zu werden. Die Verbindung blieb stabil und ich konnte eine geringe Verzögerung feststellen, was für ein flüssiges Spielerlebnis sorgte. Die Ergonomie des Controllers ist gut durchdacht. Er liegt gut in der Hand und die Tasten sind leicht zu erreichen. Die Druckpunkte der Tasten sind angenehm und die Analogsticks bieten eine ausreichende Präzision. Auch bei längerem Spielen blieb der Controller bequem in der Hand und führte nicht zu Ermüdungserscheinungen. Positiv überrascht hat mich die Akkulaufzeit. Auch bei längeren Spielsessions hielt der Akku recht lange durch. Das ist definitiv ein Pluspunkt für alle, die gerne stundenlang spielen. Auch die Ladezeit war akzeptabel und der Akku hielt, was er versprach. Die Kompatibilität des Controllers ist ziemlich groß. Ich konnte ihn problemlos mit verschiedenen Geräten wie PC, Tablet und Smartphone verwenden. Das gab mir die Freiheit, meine Spiele auf verschiedenen Plattformen zu genießen. Insgesamt bin ich mit dem ShanWan-Controller mit Bluetooth-Unterstützung zufrieden und gebe ihm 4 Sterne.
