Great watch with great features for finess and heath, with long battery life and quick charging
Great Analog/Digital Hybrid Smartwatch, well worth the money. This fulfills both of my likes, I love analog watches and have several, but digital watches are more functional and are filled with sensors for health and fitness. Well this Garmin watch is a Hybrid and does both things well, I wear it for about a week with everything except GPS turned on and then it just takes a few hours to charge back up. I wish the display was slightly bigger, but that could be because I am getting older ;o) It has been reliable and durable during my year with this watch, I am hoping for many more years to come.

This watch is great! One of the best things I've purchased in 2024
Excellent, Excellent, Excellent. Pros: battery life=10 / charges quickly face adaptability=10 / lots of different types & styles available Easy to read=10 / light or dark background options Easy setup= 10 / up and running in a few minutes. No glitches getting it going. Thank you. Looks great= 10 This is a substantial looking watch Does all the basics (steps, heart rate, calories, sleep eval) and has deeper levels of involvement for a lot of sports/activities. Cons: Havent discovered any yet. Have owned this watch for a month now & love it.

This is a BIG watch with lots of functions
First of all, this is a great watch for those who like the old school feel of having watches with actual hands as as well as the added tech features. As a female with small wrists (see the picture), the face is larger than my wrist is!! so it does look a bit odd, but I like it. And you want to be able to actually see what is on your watch without a magnifying glass. Switching out to a metal band lends it some additional style. You can also download additional watch faces if you do not like any of the default options. The somewhat higher upfront cost of a Garmin is more than made up for by the fact that (unlike all of its competitors) you do not have to pay a monthly subscription fee to access almost all of the advanced activity and health functions. I am using it primarily for health and activity tracking and was expecting a bit more from the sleep tracking. Basically you input when your normal sleep and wake times are and it measures your heart rate and movements during that time. Changing your sleep and wake times can actually change your sleep score after the fact which seems odd. It is essentially recording that you slept between the hours that you input. As someone who often wakes during the night, it still notes my sleep score as Good or Excellent for a night when I am awake most of the time but not moving (though I think this would be the case for any such device; obviously it not scanning my brain waves!). The time between charges is insanely good. No one wants their watch to spend most of its time plugged into a wall after all. Also note that most of the Garmin guides are out of date, so I suggest going to YouTube for instructions on getting started, changing settings and getting the most out of your watch.

Been waiting for an analog version
So far so good. Paid a way better price than what is normally advertised. Bought Used- Like New and it was new. Looks like they took it out of the box and didn't like it because of no touch screen (which is a battery killer). I came from an Instinct 2 so I'm very familiar with the manual button configuration. This is definitely a level up. Love the analog hands and the watch face choices (paid) are sick! Just adding a leather band can get it mistaken for a regular watch. I can use this for work and daily driver (because it looks professional) while saving my Instinct 2 for kayaking and camping.

Great watch
Great watch, very functional. But it is too thick for me.

Analog is classy but the UI is painful
I loved the look of this watch. There’s just something timeless about analog hands. And sure enough, the watch looked great on my wrist. Unfortunately, that’s where the superlatives end. I know that the display technology is older, and supposed to be very good for battery life, but after years of dealing with brilliant colorful displays from Apple and from other Garmin watches, this was like trying to use something from the 90s. Yes, I could see my stats, but only barely. Interacting with the watch was painful, and far inferior to the user experience one gets from the Forerunner 165, which is much cheaper. And even with the display at full brightness it was still often difficult to see the stats. Was it cool seeing the hands glow-in-the-dark? Absolutely. Did I love having analog hands on a fitness watch? Sure did. But I only used this for a couple days before boxing it up for return. I’m sticking with my 165 for now, and I might wait for the inevitable sales on the new crossover AMOLED.

Comfortable with accurate gps and hr measurements
This watch is well worth the cost, I’m rather inclined to choose watches with analog dials, but that can deprive users of digital experience as well as features. This watch offers the best from both worlds, the analog indices are covered with luminous coating that can be seen for hours in the dark or simply touch a button and see the digital image.

No water resistance of any value
I have a bunch of sport watches. They all survive daily use with hand washing and an occasional dip in the shower. This watch has great features but at not even a year old the darn thing has moisture under the glass. Its only a matter of time before this watch takes a dump!. I went with the Garmen thinking it was a better build quality. Not so with my experience. This watch is not rugged enough to even handle daily use with occasional wetting. I would not trust it for sports use where it gets wet regularly.

I previously had a Garmin Instinct which I loved. However, I like analog so I love this watch even more. All the functions of the Instinct only with hands.
