I bought this simply for my own interest. Based on other reviews I bought the largest 8x5 inch size. I am glad I did because some of the print is very small although with good lighting I can make out the letters. The 1-inch thickness provides a stable base for putting the block on a shelf. The clarity of the acrylic is good.

Got this as a gift for a brother of mine. He loves it.

I Like that it has 83 real elements. It will be a good tool to have in the class room. It can be used from 7th grade thru high school for science classes. This way you can follow along with the teacher as the elements are taught. The acrylic is very nice. The picture of the product on Amazon is deceiving. It appears to be larger than it actually is. it's only 6" by 4 1/2" so it is a little hard to read the elements.

Hubby loves this thing. Exactly as described.

This is a great gift, size was everything I was looking for, only thing I wish it came with is a stand or some way to hang it.
