The splitter seems sturdy and works really well. The instructions are however terrible. There is quite a bit to put together despite previous reviews stating it is ready assembled. The black plates are pure guesswork and there is nothing to tell you which bolts to use for what ? It also comes with a stand which was a pleasant surprise as not mentioned in the listing. I would definitely recommend the splitter, however, find a similar one on-line as there seems to be lots of a similar builds by various companies and download their instructions which is what I did in the end. Be very careful with the plastic bleed screw. It should only be closed when moving the splitter around - remember to open it when in use. don't be too heavy handed with it or you will break the head off it. - It's at the end of the machine (Not controls end) and looks like a plastic wing nut.

Have used the splitter for couple of years and does the job well. Great buy highly recommended

The log splitter was no use. The hydraulic ram did not travel far enough to split the logs, so it was returned straight away.

The log splitter is fitted with a 13amp Motor, not 9.6 amp as claimed. It is not fitted with copper windings as claimed, the windings are coated to look like copper, they are actually aluminium. The log splitter with cage took 3 hours to assemble. Best of all it can only split 10ins logs!
