An excellent cutter. Works well.
Not sure why all the bad press about this cutter. It works very well, is well built, and the handle is plastic but quite sturdy in my opinion. No complaints here!

Nice little scoring cutter
Whether you know it or not, you need to have a scoring cutter in your toolbox. This is a nice inexpensive one that is actually pretty sharp and scores well. It even comes with extra blades. I do wish it came with a sheath though, that would set it apart from other brands. Nice replacement version for an older one in my tool box that has seen better days.

Close to trash
Right out of the box the chrome like plating was flaking off the blade. The weld of the blade is pretty ugly, and unprofessional. The two extra blades have some dirty sticky substance on them and are also poorly welded. My biggest pet peeve is I have to waste my time and gas to drive a 1/2 hour away to drop this off to a UPS center to return it and another 1/2 hour back, all at my expense. True, this thing was inexpensive, as the saying goes "you get what you pay for"!!! Not good.

Worked great.
I was warned that this tended to drift off the straightedge but I had no problem. I scored the top of my Formica with a couple gentle passes and it snapped apart perfectly.

Average tool, got the job done, but could use a couple improvements.
I got this score cutter to replace the linoleum floor in my downstairs powder room. This is only the 3rd tlme I have put in a linoleum or vinyl floor and I just used a razor blade that I had on hand to cut theLinoleum to the size I needed. I didn’t expect to need to use as much force as I did to score the linoleum sheets with this new carbide scoring cutter. I had to go over the same line 3-4 times with extreme force to cut deep enough to snap the pieces without tearing. All three ‘new’ blades that came with the cutter showed signs of rust, which leads me to believe they either weren’t ‘new’ or more likely, not stored properly prior to purchase. The third complaint I have is the cheap, hollow, plastic handle that doesn’t feel very comfortable nor durable while using. Even with the complaints that I have with this scoring blade, it got the job done, and held up fine. I also expect the problem with the condition of the Carbide blades is just a fluke and likely won’t be an issue in the future. Overall, the cutter does the job ( with a good amount of force applied by user) and is rather inexpensive. I give it 3 stars.

Nice tool for a DIY'r
I got this tool for a linoleum flooring job that I had taken on. I do many different jobs in construction but laying linoleum hasn't been in big demand since the rise of products like click together flooring and tile have risen more in my area. However, I have put down linoleum before with just a regular utility knife and did not have results that I was happy with, just for the fact that a regular utility knife can't get into the small areas and make tight cuts.I found this knife to be very useful in getting the linoleum creased and cut very tightly to edges and corners and am very happy that it made my job look great. I did appreciate the extra blades provided.I do have some things that I would look for in a higher quality product if I did more of this linoleum flooring. First, the handle is plastic and feels cheap in the hand. On the product page, there is a picture of a hand holding the blade and it was probably a child'd hand because the knife isn't that big.Second, the blades are really not that sharp. I was expecting the sharpness of a utility knife razor, but I found I had to really push the blade to get it to cut and using the hook to try to pull a cut just stretched and tore the flooring . That wasn't impressive. Finally, it would be nice if it was just a little bit larger.Over all, It was a nice tool to get a decent finish on a project and it would be worth the few bucks to get one if you have a linoleum project.
