The Venture Bros.: The Complete Series (DVD)

The presentation leaves a bit to be desired but I also don't want to pay $200 for it either. If you already own each individual season then you may want to pass on this. But I'm very happy with it. And the price is decent when compared to buying the individual seasons. I'm not terribly excited about how the discs are kinda stuffed in the case.

This is one of the best shows I've ever seen. It has a bit of a rough start, but once it finds its footing it takes off RUNNING. The characters are incredible. The jokes (more often than not) are hysterical. The visuals are just gorgeous. It's espionage, it's science fiction, it's superheroics to rival Marvel and D.C. There's elements of fantasy, nerd culture, and alternate history threaded throughout. It's undoubtedly kitsch, but in the best way. It defies genre. You should watch this A.S.A.P. Spanakopita!

I never liked this series when it first watched but I watched it young at like 15 so most of it flew over my head now watching at 27 and it was a blast I understood a lot more the jokes were great and the characters were a blast to see just evolve over the seasons just for them come back to certain things to get answered but also create more questions being created during their adventures. This also looks very good since animation can hold up even if it is a DVD but it is a small shame there isn't a blu ray version of this.The are negatives to this disc set and that being the way the discs are held they lay on top of each other and one of disc button doesn't hold well so if I were angle it both disc would fall out of the slot and that is reason I hate these type of cases since each disc holder has to hold two disc and the lay on top I believe each should have their own place in the collection rather than making a cheap holder for two but I shouldn't too harsh since it was a good deal that I purchased it for and the last negative I have is that this is series is over and I wish there could be more since it is a very good series that left some stones unturned I hope this series can have a come back.

Really a great series. It's nice to have the whole thing in one collection.

I was able to watch season 1 and 2 but when I loaded season 3 disc 1 into my Sony dvd player, I've gotten error messages saying that the disc has not been finalized. I am so disappointed that this doesn't work properly. If you do decide to take a chance and buy this, make sure to immediately open the package and put the discs one by one into your DVD player to make sure that they work. I purchased this last year and wish I had done the same.

Will always recommend Venture Bros

Easy way to watch all venture bros episodes before the final movie. The bonus features include the commentary included in the DVD. As well as the all that and gargantua 2 along with the halloween episode.As other people have experienced one of the dvds does experience hiccups (mine was season 4 disc 1). Though I was able to get it working after several efforts and back and forth with other players. Another tidbit is sometimes visual quality would just vary inconsistent with some discs. I bought this new and was surprised to see some episodes were oddly pixilated in some sequences when they were not on the dvd box sets. I would majorly recommend this when on sale, otherwise buy the og dvd sets/blurays when available.

Awesome show! Wish they made more episodes definitely could have if they wanted to. But for what it’s worth it’s definitely worth picking up. Kinda wish they included the movie radiant is the blood of the baboon heart with this “complete series” but it is what it is. Regardless, I’m very satisfied with my purchase.
