Worth every penny
This is my 3rd robot vacuum but my first Shark and I will never buy another brand ! This one is by far the best we’ve ever owned . It’s is quiet , always without fail makes its way to return to base , does a good job cleaning, we have 2 indoor cats and I have it set up with the app to vacuum daily . It will go back to base and empty itself and return to work or if it needs a charge it will go to base , charge up and then resume where it left off . . I had problems with other vacuums getting stuck in certain places but not this one . The only time it had problems is if I leave something out that can get wrapped in the wheel and then it will send an alert to my phone. One selling point for me was it was supposed to kept hair from wrapping around the brush roll and it works wonderfully, no more trying to pull or cut hair out . This vacuum is great!!

Overall happy with this upgrade
I've had my vacuum for a month and I'm really enjoying it. I had a Roborock 6S for four years before switching. I have LVT flooring, a thin run, a thick rug and a carpet area that all gets vacuumed.Hair: I have a German shepherd husky mix and I have long hair so it was going to be put to the test concerning hair. The first 2 times I ran it the roller got clogged by hair clumps. But it was really easy to remove, no scissors involved. Then once I was running it daily (on normal mode) it hasn't had a problem since. I am proactive and clear the roller brush once a week. But honestly not much gets stuck running it daily. I do have to empty the tank more often because there is so much hair. It also picks up the random pieces of dog food my dog puts on the floor and doesn't eat.Noise: I love that it empties itself so it isn't something I'm checking every single day. But it is SO loud when it empties. During the week this is no issue because we are at work but it took a bit on the weekends to not get startled when it happened. Otherwise the noise is very manageable. The eco mode we don't even change the volume on the tv. Normal mode we have to turn the volume up a few numbers. I've one used max once just to test it.Navigating around the apartment: It has not thrown itself off my stairs thankfully. Cords are an issue but that is a problem with any robot vacuum. Once you, burry them under the couch, or pin them to the wall it isn't an issue. I've noticed it will go over some things, like my Theragun charger. But at the same time if a door is not fully open it won't run into or push the door open. So it doesn't get all the floor every day but that is why we do it daily. It can do our entire apartment (800 sqft) on one charge. But if you have a bigger area it will clean, charge and then resume cleaning in a bit.Using the app: Take the time to make the rooms on your map so it is more useful. It might take some tweaking. Also if you have an odd shape room (not a rectangle) you can combine two areas into one. You can also add no go zones. I did that around my Peloton bike because there was no good way to tuck the cord in somewhere. You can easily make a schedule for specific days of the week. Currently you cannot schedule by rooms. Also you cannot schedule it to clean multiple time per day, you would have to manually start it the second time.Other notes: I feel like this helps with the dust so much. It also helps me not leave things on the floor, like an amazon box I need to break down. Because if there is stuff on the floor then the vacuum can't clean there. Any robot vacuum would be hard if you have a kid that leaves things everywhere or a dog with a lot of toys.Overall I'm really happy with the switch to Shark.

Best one so far! Hard to clean though.
Edit: Shark found a chunk of puppy poo and scooped it up so efficiently that I had a hard time finding the spot it came from. However. Shark was EXTREMELY difficult to clean. My old Roomba had parts that popped right out, easily cleaned and sent back on the road. I spent a better part of 20 minutes with a scrub brush trying to clean the Shark out. I can't take out the roller without a tiny screwdriver. The wheels have divots in them for traction, and guess where all the poo was? Instead of having a smooth underside where the dust bin comes out, it is grooved for no apparent reason. Had to take a point off because being able to clean it is important.I only got this yesterday, set it up, and charged it. When it reached 50%, it went out and did a mapping run. The rooms and dimensions were clearly visible on the app. This morning, I set it to start out at 8 am, and it did. The app said it would take about 80 minutes to clean the portions of my house available to it. It did a formidable job of getting rid of all the pet hair. I have four dogs and my daughters have between them 5 cats that shed like snow storms, all the time. There were balls of hair in every corner of the house. Shark got almost every one of them, and it had been several days since we have had a vacuum.I had a Roomba for about 3 years, and it did okay, but you couldn't get it to do any discernable pattern, it just kind of wandered around, docked itself to charge back up, wandered around some more, all day long. It was loud and annoying. It died death by poop.I ordered a no brand name vacuum and mop combo that got decent reviews. This had no app, it came with a remote control. You could program it to perform patterns, but it was woefully under powered, and I had to send it back,The Shark is quiet, the app is user friendly, and - at least the first day - it did a really decent job. It follows a pattern, which you can set, and it got up all the dirt lying around. We have wood floors only, no carpets, so I don't know how well it works on those. It has a "mega clean" feature that I haven't used yet. I have it set to run every day. If things change, I will update the review.

Best Basic Robot Vacuum
I used to have the basic iRobot roomba and I absolutely hated it. It was extremely loud, crashed into walls and furniture (damaging said items), and would get stuck on a “cliff” (the corner of my thin rug) daily. For the high price and little special features, it was a flop.I got the Shark Matrix on Prime day to replace my dumb Roomba and I am obsessed with it. It’s extremely quiet (to the point that I don’t even know it’s running), maps the room and cleans every square foot that isn’t obstructed, and does a great job of cleaning instead of just kicking dirt around. For the basic Shark, it’s worth the low price.Added bonus…it leaves vacuum lines!! For an OCD clean freak, this, along with how well it actually vacuums every spec of dust, it’s the total package!
