Great product! Awesome addition to my garage gym setup!

Some of the reviews say they got plates that were greasy or that the plates smelt terrible. The ones I got are no different from what I would see in a gym. If I put them close to my nose, yes I can smell industrial rubber but that’s no different from the plates in a gym. If you want zero smell, go for steel plates but those will damage the floor. Edited : Yup, little or no oil on remaining plates. There was a note as well in each box to explain why the oil may be present. It wiped off easily with a microfiber cloth.

I think these are excellent plates, though more expensive than they should be.

I really want to love these. I bought size pairs 2.5 to 45 lbs. Not cheap, but the quality seems great and these wouldn’t be out of place in a commercial gym. The problem I have is the off gassing. Based on other reviews I first washed them with dish soap, then wiped them down with iso alcohol and kept them in the garage until they stopped smelling. After 6 months and two more wipe downs with iso, they still need to be kept it the garage. I tried storing them on a rack in my gym last week and having them inside overnight the strong rubber smell was just as bad as when I first bought them. Overall, if you have a garage gym these are wonderful. If your gym is indoors, beware the off gassing is very strong. Hopefully it gets better over the winter months, but so far from May to Nov they haven’t gotten better. Update: The company reached out and offered to make things right. I had originally called out the 10 and 25 lb plates for developing a thin powder coating after a few weeks. This seems to have stopped after the latest wiping about a month ago (Nov). The company asked for pictures after the latest wipe down. I’ll submit them if the coating develops again. I had the weights stored indoors for a week during the holidays and ended up taking them back to the garage as the smell was still too much for the basement gym. I’ve added a star to the review for the excellent customer service. These aren’t bad plates if you can handle the strong rubber smell. I may end up replacing them with non-rubber plates if it doesn’t improve after a year.

I loaded up one these. I like their feel and when I weigh them they are the weight they say.

good quality but its overpriced, i paid $79.91/plate but my local fitness store sells the same one less than half price at $31.25. and return is super expensive shipping is over $100. now i am like why didnt i check the price in local stores. so please...
