Great for podcasts
This mixing board is a total game changer for my podcast. The gain and limit settings have allowed me to cut off low volume sounds, such as my breathing sound, and it also eliminated clipping of loud sounds. The sound from the inputs mixes flawlessly. It's an easy plug-and-play solution for getting good quality sound into Audacity, or any other computer recorder.

Great for live performances
I play keys in a classic rock band and have been using a small submixer to sum the output of 2 keyboards. I have started using iOS virtual instruments and needed a USB audio interface, but didn't want another piece of equipment on stage. This mixer fits my needs beautifully. I use the internal sounds of my top keyboard sometimes and also use it as a MIDI controller for the virtual instruments. The controls of the AG06 Mk II make it easy to switch between the keyboard's native sounds and iOS virtual instruments using the internal interface. The only additional feature I wish it had would be a separate volume control for the main outputs, which go to the front of house PA. However, it really is not a limitation because our sound guy can control my volume on the main board. The mixer does have a volume pot for the monitor outputs, which I connect to a small powered speaker as a personal monitor. The output is pristine, much better than the previous audio interface I had been using, which introduced hiss and buzz. The AG06 made my virtual piano apps sound much more realistic. I can power it using a 10,000 mAh power bank via a USB C hub connected to my iPad Pro, eliminating the need for a wall wart. I don't use the microphone inputs, but it's nice to know they are there if i need them. If you are a live player with similar needs, buy this mixer!

Great Hardware, Archaic Software
This is a great mixer. It has the perfect combination of features and inputs/outputs for the amateur musician or podcaster. The fit/finish of the hardware is fantastic. The only major downside is that the Yamaha Steinberg driver uses an old operating-system integration method that requires you to disable OS-X System Integrity Protection. A major security flaw. You do not need to install the driver on OS-X for basic single input/output however. By default the "Yamaha AG08" USB audio device will route to channels 3/4 on the mixer, but you can change the output channels within the system "Audio MIDI Setup" program under "Configure Speakers". You will not be able to use multiple inputs/outputs simultaneously or the controller app without the driver installed however. If only Yamaha, Roland, et al. digital-instrument/music-production vendors would get out of the 90's and start building their software using modern best-practices...

Compact, Powerful, and Perfect for Podcasters!
I’m really impressed with the Yamaha AG06. It’s small, easy to set up, and delivers clear, professional-quality sound. The layout is intuitive, and it connects seamlessly with my mic and computer. Whether you’re starting a podcast or recording voiceovers, this little mixer performs far beyond its size. Highly recommend it for anyone wanting great results without complicated gear.

A "Perfect" little mixer
GREAT for a little mixer! It's very "quiet" electrically and robustly made - and so it should be, it's a Yamaha!!!

MISSING A ROUTING TABLE
This device is very powerful. Makes your mic sound great and has lots of face buttons for quickly controlling sound. I have a few MAJOR feature issues that are missing. There is no routing control what so ever. What do I mean about this? You can not control what is including in the "Streaming mix" output. Which is small but huge issue if you want to control your mic separately in OBS. Stream mix always includes mic and sound board and there is no way to change this. There are ways to mute channels in each monitor device but no way to mute channels from Stream mix. WHY NOT???? I was able to pull the channels into obs individually but then the faders and mutes on the mixer do not work for those channels output. They only work if within is stream mix. Smaller issue- the soundboard buttons do not have there own channel so you can not choose how they are routed at all THE ONLY ROUTING CONTROL YOU HAVE IS THE STREAM SWITCHES ON THE FACE OF THE MIXER AND YOU DO NOT HAVE A SWITCH FOR MICs I'd like to see a routing table, a channel just for sound board and a way to reassign the second mic fader to another virtual channel. I returned it :(

GREAT value and a perfect blend of old school and modern features
I looked long and hard for a mixer to do a very, very, very basic duty: Mix a live microphone signal with a line-level recorded audio source, and send the mixed line-level signal to a power amplifier. I also require 48 volt phantom power for a Shure SM58 micriphone. The Yamaha AG03MK2 does all this perfectly, AND it adds the capability to work as a USB-connected audio interface if needed, although a USB connection is NOT required This is a great blend of classic old-school analog functionality that can step into the future. My ONLY complaint about this is that it requires a USB-C power supply input; I wish it could plug into a regular 120 VDC outlet. However for the price, $139 in early 2025, I don't have any concerns. This thing is a fantastic value and I would EASILY buy it again. Thank you Yamaha!

I think this thing is awesome. I was a bit worried about some of the reviews here but since it was on sale I picked it up and I'm very glad I did. I'm just using it for a home karaoke setup but it's doing everything we need. The compressor, EQ, and reverb customizations are nice (ended up just shutting off EQ which is tough to dial in for various karaoke guests). In general it just seems versatile. You can run it USB or without and there's no noticeable latency when running in USB mode. The audio quality is good. It's extremely transparent which is what I personally want in an interface. If you're looking for some kind of amp colour this won't give you it (and IMO it shouldn't). I also saw some comments on the build quality and it seems good to me? I used to DJ and yes it's not up to the tank like quality of all metal DJ mixers which are 10x the price of this - but it's frankly more than fine for something that's going to sit on a desk or table most of it's life and once it's setup you probably aren't really going to mess with it much. The knobs/pots all seem very solid and tight, the body itself is a mix of metal and plastic, the inputs are all mounted solidly. I'm not sure what there is to complain about in terms of build quality. I have a 12 year old Steinberg CL1 audio interface (still going) and the AG06 feels better built than it so this isn't like they've cut corners or something in recent years. Long and short of it, very good for what it's intended to do. If you're looking for something to just use at home this is a fantastic choice IMO. It's not intended for stage use. I'd definitely put it in the "prosumer" level where it's punching way above it's weight but doesn't quite reach the demands of actual professional PA equipment - and is priced very fairly. One final note, i think the reverb effect (popular for karaoke) is between decent - good. It more than adequate for vocals but if you were using a guitar recording you'd probably want to stick with a pedal or higher end effect processor of some kind.
