A smashing masher worth the money

I reviewed this on my review of the tool set. Fabulous makes lovely mash no lumps.

Good quality

I like this masher because it is easy to use and to wash. The red Silicone part on the handle is good for bashing residue back into the pan without damage, but maybe a little too bouncy as I find some bits of potato fly up in the air, landing over the worktop and in my face. I will have to learn not to bash so hard. It is quite wide and will not fit into a standard cutlery drawer.

This is the best most comfortable masher I have ever used.

Great idea, but being plastic has thicker tines than a conventional masher, so is harder to push through what your mashing. Essential though if you've used a non stick pan, to avoid damaging the coating in the pan

I like things to match, so as I've got the other Tefal utensils and the Tefal pots & pans, I wanted this to complete the set. You can almost certainly find similar products at a cheaper price, but this is well made and will last for many years. It also has nice details, such as the silicone rubber on the handle, which stops it rolling over when placed on the counter. You can also use it to rest on the side of the pan, without falling in.

The masher arrived with all the prongs broken. The box was un damaged. So whoever packed it new was broken and sent it anyway.
