A Kissing Hand for Chester Raccoon (The Kissing Hand Series) Board book – Picture Book, 15 April 2014

My 3 year old started preschool in Sept but was struggling to settle at drop-off times as she has never been apart from me, her mum. I found this book and thought it was worth a try. She loved it and we practised our kissing hands at home then we did it the next time she went to preschool...for the first time we had no tears! She was still a little unsure but she didn't cry. Each day we have done the kissing hand and she has been getting more and more confident about saying goodbye each time. The only thing is, she was disappointed that real love hearts didn't come out of her hen I kissed her hand, like they do in the book!! If your little one is struggling to settle at school or nursery don't hesitate to buy this book!!

this book was a gift for my Irish granddaughter who lives in Dublin but who's family is Canadian. She saw a raccoon on her visit to Canada last summer and fell in love with them, so these books have been a big hit with her. The whole series is highly recommended by educators and I will certainly purchase more in future.

This is a lovely book, a really sweet story which my son adores.

I bought it to help with my daughter who was getting upset at nursery drop off. I think it did help but not tonnes. Still a sweet story regardless.

Perfect book for children who are away from a parent or loved one, this has helped me and my son no end!

I have this book and bought another copy for a friend whose child was having a hard time transitioning from Kindergarten to First grade. It was a hit for them, just like it was for my child when they started "big kids" school. Such a sweet and endearing message. Helps parents too!

Bought it at the time when we're joining our son in his first playschool. This book has exactly the same content what we're looking for. Makes the child understand that going to school is fun and also, he can see his parents immediately after the school and that they're in safe hands all the time. Just buy it in any case.
