Sound quality is terrible. It is staticky with songs and stories even with volume put on low. Is mine defective?

I’m not sure if it’s defective I would check into it. My daughter’s box is kind of low in volume but I’ve had no issues with it being staticky.

Can additional characters be bought?

How do loved ones upload stories to the Tonies? Can family who live long distances do this?
